Everything this brand makes looks so beautiful. I love their Instagram - it makes me want everything, lol. I also have hooded eyes so I would probably have major trouble with some of their products. But those highlighters....wow...if I had the budget I would want them all, haha

Hi Phyrra! I have hooded eyes too and I agree 100% with you regarding eye shadows. I use their ash and ember eye soot in obsedian as a base to powder eye shadows or pigments. I love it especially under mineral duo chrome eyeshadows. I use the celestial sphere eye soot in cygnus over powder eye shadows or over sticky cream eye shadows like MUFE aqua resist shadows. I press it with finger or brush over the product just like a wash of color in the smallest dose possible. Once it melts with the heats and oils on the skin, it looks amazing. They are really lovely to work with. I am 39 and I love how lite they are on the skin. Thanks for the review. It is true and helpful. 👍👍👍

As much as I love the idea of clean/all natural luxury brands, I just feel like they just never perform good enough to justify their price points. For instance, I used to sub to Petit Vour (a luxury all natural skin care & makeup box/site), and although I found some gems in their sub boxes every once in a while, they always happened to be the things that were the most ridiculously expensive (like $150 for a 4oz face wash ridiculous). The rest just didn't jive well with my skin or the makeup was subpar. I have hooded eyes too (and oily to boot) so even cream formulas never work for me, much less jelly formulas. These look nice but I know they'd never work for me and honestly I feel like there are much cheaper indie brands with just as good ingredients out there that are far more affordable that would work better for my eyes (and more impactful color-wise). Still, I do appreciate you bringing stuff like this to your channel. It's very hard to find people I like reviewing brands like this. :)

I have oily, hooded eyes, so I definitely feel your pain! A lot of cream formulas do not work for me either. I felt it was important to discuss how the gelee formula does not work on hooded eyes like mine. It often feels like a lot of brands just forget to make products for hooded eyes, or that they expect us to not wear eyeshadow. I'm happy to be bringing you beautiful indie brands like this! I'm working on a Lethal Cosmetics piece too. And if I can ever catch Clionadh open, I'll be reviewing them. Every time I have money to spend with them their shop is closed.

@@Phyrra Ugh, the hooded eye struggle is real! 😕😑😑 mine are almost identical to yours so I totally understand. That's why I don't wear lashes either because they're usually gigantic and cover up any little peak of color I manage to create on my eyes. The ones you wore here were actually surprisingly nice, though...big enough to be noticeable but not enough to cover up your shadow. (Side note: I actually don't believe lashes "complete" a look. In fact I feel they take away from looks half the time when they're too big and obtrusive. Seriously, what's the point of spending all that time blending and perfecting an intricate eye look if you're just going to cover it with a caterpillar lash after all that work?!? My lashes are almost nonexistent and with the dramatic smokey eyes I tend to do, they pretty much just disappear but I'm ok with that.) Anyway, I usually stay away from anything non-powder on my eyes. The only ones that have worked decently well have been the Stila liquid shadows and some of BH Cosmetics liquid shadows as well. They still crease a tiny bit right in the middle of the lid after a couple hrs but it's not terrible. Buy anything cream is a no-go for me, especially the natural brands. It's frustrating when it seems a lot of that makeup seems to be geared towards very young people with perfect skin and regular, non-oily lids. 😕

@@DragonsOfSnow Thank you for the compliment! I'm actually not wearing false lashes here. I used a combination of Eyeko Lash Alert Mascara + Eyeko Fat Brush Bold Mascara on my lashes. My lashes are fairly long but they struggle to hold a curl.

Love this brand so much, and agree with you on so many points. Their gelee shadows are gorgeous but slide around on my eyes, and their regular shadows are nice when I want a simple sort of grungy look. LOVE their blushes and highlighters, and now I might have to pick up that contour too.

I just heard of this brand today actually, on another video about winky lux cream blushes they just came out with. Someone mentioned this brand made the best cream blushes and cream products are my favorite. So I had to find out more about the brand on Instagram first and now here I am. Im usually hip to indie brands but this one for some reason i didn't know about. Thanks for the video love!

I think that Rituel de Fille is not spoken about as much because they're an indie brand at a luxury price point. But their products are so worth it! I hope you enjoy the cream blushes if you try them.

Love this cool-toned look! I love RdF! Their Metamorphic Highlighters and Nectar Balms are my favorite. I might need to pick up the Eye Soots that set--maybe the warm taupe for a quick and easy look. One of my favorite combos from RdF is The Dream and High Priestess :)

I didn't know Rituel de Fille eyeshadow was a jelly or cream, but I agree with you those jars would be hard to use. I always thought it was loose powder.

Wow, they've made it into Ulta? That's fantastic! I have quite a few things from them. I also love the lipsticks ... they're a lot like the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche lipsticks ... kinda stiff and dry feeling at first, but they warm up into the most nourishing opaque color.

@@Phyrra I use their inner glow cream pigments often! The colors are so vibrant but still blendable and multi-purpose. When i used to do more editorial work, I brought them every time for their wide use. I also love their highlighters, particularly Solaris and Stellaris. They’re the only cream highlights I’ve used that haven’t disturbed any makeup underneath. I’ve been purchasing their products for years so I’ve tried a wide gamut, but the creams are my favorite. Their lipsticks and eye soots are bomb too!

I find sometimes that some powder blushes are hard to blend out and just won't budge once applied. I originally bought their 'Bloodflower' pigment balm because I was looking for a red blush that would work on my dry skin. I liked that one so much that I ended up buying their 'Glasswing' pigment balm as well. I really enjoy the pigment balms. They bring just the right amount of pigment and are easy to work with.

Thank you so much for this video Courtney! I am sad I missed out on Chimera the second time too! But maybe it will come back some day! Thinking of getting The Dream (I got the link form them since I am not a US citizen and can't vote) but I am a little worried it will be too dark since we are the same skin tone. I suppose I could use it as a blush topper or sheered out as a highlighter. My only gripe with the metamorphic highlighters is that they stay a little sticky. But I have dry skin too so maybe it's fine and I am overthinking it.

The Dream is definitely a highlighting blush on my skin tone. You can layer it on top of another blush or wear it on its own.

Well, the great thing about Rituel de Fille now being at Ulta is that you can use Ulta points to purchase things and Ulta frequently has sales or 20% off coupons :) Credo Beauty may also offer some sales. I bought some of my collection via Credo when they were having sales and gift certificates. I do agree though, their luxury price point is off-putting to many.

I know haha. Them being at Ulta does make it so tempting. Haha. I'm not someone that NEEDS to buy something the second I see it. I'll probably purchase 2 or 3 of their products around my birthday (the 18th of this month haha) or Christmas. They are definitely on my list (I keep a list in my planner.
