Season 9 is where it came off the rails. Still good bits but I wish they hadn't bothered. It naturally peaked at the wedding, one more series after that would have done me. Still the best comedy of the 21st century though.

The last seasons are my favorites, probably season nine especially. So it is slightly different from the others. For me, preferable! For most fans, apparently not. I really didn’t see it as that different though? Less gross out and cringe, a bit bleaker? Seemed fitting considering they were aging. Some stuff people said was unrealistic was a LOT more realistic than stuff in earlier seasons.

@@fahrenheit2101 Imo series 6-8 kind of tread water and cover a lot of the same ground over and over (still top tier comedy obviously). For me series 9 felt like a breath of fresh air. Totally unhinged and doesn't always work, but has some all time classic peep show episodes.

I was waiting for the transition on the first scene and it still had me laughing out loud. The rest though, you can tell they are trying to force outrageous moments too much as the seasons went on. The early seasons were more about an insight of what people thing and dealing with some slightly silly/ludicrous situations (just amped up a little) that most could relate in someway. But the later seasons the situations are so outrageous that subtlety is lost.

Even the lesser series all still have some genuine laugh out loud lol moments. I took a strange plot twist for Mark to film Jez getting it on with a man in his bedroom, but it did open the door to, when Jez finds out everyone has seen the video and complains he might as well read the comments on KZbin, Superhans can counter with:"They might be good comments". That made it all worth it. Even the worst Peep Show episode is still brilliant comedy.
