​@@SunsetofMana Many factors like difficulty of learning fighting games, mastering fighting games and that fighting games are old too. A lot of veteran players have stop coming to tournaments because its too expensive to do so. Plane tickets, hotels, necessities and etc are all pricey even if you group together to split the cost. And if you don't place top 3, you get no prize money. It's great to meet up with everyone, chat and play games, but otherwise, its costly to do so. Otherwise, you better hope a company sponsors you to go to the tournaments. Fighting games are just old now and offer no more excitement. It was hot in the 90s and for sure that was its golden age but now its just a shadow of itself. SF4 did bring back that energy again for 5 years but it died off. I always wanted to attend EVO but now i dont care for it anymore.
