Lloyd in space is definitely a classic Disney cartoon Too bad disney only cares about their more popular brands instead of releasing some of their creator driven cartoons on dvd Ironic since buzz lightyear of Star command never made it to dvd or blu ray completely What’s even more ironic is that disney is not releasing any more Simpsons DVDs at the moment

308 minutes per disc is what 46gb blu-ray's can do for digitizing vhs tapes uncompressed but you did a great job my dude and especially the first disc of the homemade disney tv show blu-ray with 8 hours and 48 minutes, bravo man

I have been doing something similar to this, where i use a capture card to capture a bunch of personally recorded VHS tapes to my computer. Most of it is stuff along the lines of cartoons and the like that myself or my folks taped off TV back in the day. The main difference is that i just copy them to my computer for viewing and not burning to DVD/Blu-ray like you did. I use an Elgato Video device for my VHS capturing, it is quite simple and works great. However that process you used was pretty cool as well along with those homemade Disney cartoon tapes and BD discs.

Dude this is awesome as hell. Love the tapes man and it looks cool and creative and no one would knock you for the tapes looking like that because you were a kid you manage to save some cartoons that aren't even on DVD thanks to you doing that you manage to preserve a little bit of history and judging by the comments all of us like what you did. Thank you for all of your great work! Gosh, you are so cool! I discovered your channel, because I was looking for Mickey's Merry and Scary, and the next thing I knew, I was watching your great videos. I am a dancer, so I have some old VHS and DVD videos that I bought, because there are no other versions, and they do die/become damaged with age. The videos I watch are often not released in a big commercial way, and they have really valuable information on them. I could write a super long essay on this right now! At least I know I have a way to save VHS information that I thought might be lost forever. Seriously, some VHS scares me, because it is not just the tape that dies, but it will kill my cool old school t.v. that has a built in VHS player that I can also connect to a DVD player and a Blu-Ray player with a cable from the dollar store. It is super portable, which is great for dancers or any educators, even if it is an old t.v. I carried it on foot once across town. It speaks many languages too (my t.v. with built in vhs player), so, thank you and hello :)

That is really neat and awesome idea about the thingymgig for your VCR to your computer. I used to have lots of VHS recordings of Cartoon Network from the 2000's and on but when we moved I threw most of them away and not cause I wanted to my mom said there's not need in having those I really wished I hadn't. I had so much stuff recorded even other stuff. Make me mad just thinking it. But still glad I do have alot of old Power Rangers shows that I wouldn't ever have gotten thrown away. I used to have videos of Disney DVDs at Best Buy, but then I deleted them by accident because I was feeling too upset about something, so when I started making Disney DVD videos at Walmart in Fall of 2021 to replace them, I was craving for all my favorite films and at least most of my honorable mentions to come to the store, and they did. My wish came true, I was right. That’s great. Walmart was starting to act like Best Buy because of that.

A show I would recommend to add to your collection is Sonic Satam which you can get as a complete series set on amazon (this is a not burn on demand dvd) another series you should check out is adventures of sonic the hedgehog which aired also in toon disney. Its a fun and a enjoyable show to watch.

Well, I bought a $1500 computer with a blu-Ray burner, a VCR to DVD recorder that was about $130, blank Blu-Rays which were about $25. Of course, I didn't buy the computer only for the blu ray drive though, so it's not that full price. But still, kind of expensive. What was most expensive was the amount of time I put into them (a lot!). I think if someone were to do the same project today, it could be done for cheaper and less price though.

If you don't mind me asking-what do you do for a living to have the money and time for all of this?

It's a combination of making KZbin videos (yes, making movies about movies allows me to buy more movies, which allows me to make more videos about movies which allows me to buy more movies...) and having a full time job. Though I don't really have a lot of time for big projects like making homemade Blu-Rays anymore.
