I'm 100% sure Bellamy could body arlong so not very good in the grand line

I think anime Luffy comes off as dumber because he has more dumb moments due to filler, specials, and the anime generally being slower paced. The moments where he shows great emotional intelligence and surprising wisdom are made fewer and farther in-between than in the manga. IMO Netflix Luffy being smarter isn't really out-of-character, it's just a result of the shorter format.

Nah, man. Both versions don't know what really happened in Nami's backstory. Canon, non filler Luffy puts his fingers in his ears and goes "la la la la la" and is convinced that it's the right behavior to have. Live action Luffy doesn't have these childish moments, even though the end result is the same.

I think Arlong with his crew could get past Whiskey Peak but Walpol beats him, not only because of strength but I also can’t imagine fishmen do that well in the severe cold

Remember that they too would level up along the way. Also, Wapol is a joke. It took all sorts of handicaps to even make it a fight.

@@marcusc9931 honestly I don’t think they would actually level up much. Arlong has been in the grandline before but clearly hasn’t really grown from being there so I can’t imagine him getting much stronger going in again. But ya I’ll admit maybe I am overhyping Wapol too much just because I really like his fruit. Still though it would probably be hard even if just because of being a fishman in the cold.
