punji you probably wont notice this but youve carried me STRONG when i was new, i was trying to beat elite bosses with no knowledge (obviously i failed), then after i learned from your videos overtime, i became very good at the game and the bosses stand no chance to me to this day, you dont get enough recognition since without your guides i could probably stop playing btd6 since i was bad at it, thank you punji

Imo Geraldo and Corvus should always be the last 2 because of their skill level and that they don't teach you how to play the game but rather how to play with them The reason they both cost 7k is so that newer player will get them last

@@SUPABROSThis just isn't true, knowing when items refresh so you don't spend them when you don't need to lets you save up a ton of money. You can get by with just turrets and gerry's fire, but you can also get by using middle path monkeys without using their abilities. Doesn't mean it's a good strategy.

@@diamondguy-xs4lg, yeah, if you only use Gerry fire, you're only doing kinda way better than other heroes, not vastly way better than other heroes. /s W take to get Sauda then Geraldo for chimps, and Sauda then Benjamin then Geraldo if not directly jumping into chimps. You don't get the other heroes because none of them are absolutely Sauda levels of early ease compared to their contribution as Geraldo is. If you're better than the average bear, you can use Adora.

Imo Etienne should be obtained instead of Pat Fusty (so switch order) because of him allowing the player not to worry about Camo bloons for the entire game and his early game is genuinely decent/good if you just buy another tower to help with the dense packs of bloons

He's definitely the weakest early game tower, and the argument of "just get others towers as well" doesn't really make sense tbh. You have a limited amount of money in Chimps.

@@nicjoy4407 which is why it's so good that getting him removes any need to buy any camo detection unless you're going for a MIB. His early game may not be the best but the extra convenience mid game is worth it imo (plus, his ability to see over walls can be pretty useful for some maps too)

@@NagKai_G I worded it poorly, I do think he is an alright hero, I was more saying that his earlygame is just objectively one of the worst (contrary to what you were saying). The camo problem I find really not to be an issue, as spending an extra 3k in the mid game for camo detection really isn't too bad, his main strength is in the UCAV being a strong saveup tool.

Honestly Etienne can come earlier. I wouldn't say his early game is weak and he is actually really nice for some casual play without worrying about camo

I think he should come earlier, but his earlygame absolutely is weak. He's like a larger ranged dart monkey with I think more pierce at the cost of never firing down a straight line.

For more experienced players of BTD6, along with going after the 2 Megapops achievement. Geraldo is a valuable hero to have for either enhancing your 2 Megapops intending tower, slowing down bloons, blowing back bloons, along with Gerry's Fire which carries very weak towers initially to the point that they can solo. Though Strikers Jones is great support for Explosives (particularly Bomb & Mortar), along with Pat being great for both temporary damage instead, along with slapping back bloons to delay the time for bloons to escape the track (also, WHO DOESN'T LIKE PAT?!).

striker is also good for anything that has at least average pierce but needs more (i think moab press is a good example, not sure) and spactories

You can also just get the 2 Megapops with Sauda on Resort (or even Balance) lol. If you're not good enough to micro for a 1TC, you can just use all your money to buff the hell out of her with things like an Alch, Village, and OC so she'll get all the pops.

It's not like Rosalia is bad. She's just mediocre in every category. She's sort of a jack-of-all-trades type, but the problem is that she's a master of none. Other heroes have a better early, mid, and late game than her. Other heroes have better utility than her. She's really strong in a Heli Pilot strategy, but that's really it.

Rosalia is often the BEST solution for least tiers tiles and often the BEST hero for races. It's specialized situations but she does have her moment to shine. Rosalia is a challenging high micro hero though. So it's not hard to guess why there's some dislike especially since many but not all game modes give Corvus as another option.

But she's played a lot by all those skilled players who take advantage of her great strengths when you're so skilled, like yourself of course, and those KZbinrs like uhh... A very reasonable set of advice. A super agree with your first two picks (Sauda and Ben). Sauda is also currently super great for boss rush as well. The only downside for Sauda is not often being available in contested territory because she's too powerful ... which should tell you a lot about how great she is. I would have put Geraldo and Etienne sooner. It does depend on what sort of games you are playing but Etienne really shines on intermediate maps and is super beginner friendly. Etienne is also very good for least tiers. I also think you may be underestimating Rosalia. Rosalia has some of the best early to mid game damage with her main weakness being camo. Rosalia is also one of the best race heroes (if not the best?). Rosalia is however a very hard hero to master. I think a lot of people have had a bad first impression because of the high skill floor. If you're buying Rosalia sooner it's probably for events like contested territory or race.

Ah, the main reason she's so good for CT is she is an early game specialist who can pop all bloon types, meaning you often don't need much to finish off a shorter challenge (usually just moab damage if 41-49) and if it's longer she can help with saveup for a good tower

I cannot believe the two heroes I got early and pretty much main are the last two you recommend. That is just my luck. I main Churchill but noticed after completing half the Beginner maps on CHIMPS that Sauda is basically Churchill but costs 3 Times less and does the exact same job essentially. Churchill is only better later on, which at that point you've got good enough defence due to money save up from Sauda's early game save. I still love Churchill however cause I love buffing him up and listen to his machine gun pop bloons rapidly. I suppose cause he's hard to use is why I do keep using him, to challenge myself.

I'd say Corvus is the best way to learn micro intensive towers and has a very easy loop that doesn't require that much money to manage, sine he doesn't sacrifice towers or needs extra money. I'd suggest him is an either or choice for Gerlado's spot

churchill was the first hero i bought and he's pretty insane i think, once you get him down you're good until round 80+ even with no buffs, sure he'll need some help but he can help save up so much money that buying said help wont be an issue

What is up with the Churchill hate my guy? Need I remind thee that sir Winston Monkey Churchil has a total of 30+ 2tcs (if I remember correctly don't kill me if I got it wrong) where he soloed the late game? Any map with straight lines is a map worthy of beeing dominated by the best military monkey strategist there is. He's also realy good at chess so thats something too

The only thing where Churchill does actually help is Boss events, because he deals solid damage and most of the time you get extra money at the start of boss events

You can still use slow leveling heroes on easy maps. Using reaktor counteracts this really well and is one of my favorite strats

Idk, reactor costs pretty much from round 39 to 50s, at which point it still doesn't lvl20 your hero for you, but it is still the most awful super ceramic damage.

If anyone is going to go freeplay, don’t use Geraldo. The paragon totems aren’t worth it. Use Adora or Ezili. Take it from the current world record holder for easy freeplay on an official map. Geraldo is not good for freeplay.

@@carldablob324 Assuming non-CHIMPS Freeplay, by far Adora. She buffs all Sun Avatars, Sun Temples and True Sun Gods (and Vengeful True Sun Gods) within her range after sacrificing a tower, with the buff depending on the cost of the tower sacrificed (up to 4000 money I think). With proper positioning and buffing, you can buff the WHOLE MAP with a maxed out sacrifice, since the buff applies after the range-increase of the sacrifice. While Ezili can solo a bunch of BADs with her MOAB Hex at lv. 20, she will never outperform Adora when it comes to ultra-lategame DPS unless you can farm so much money that you can sell and rebuy her constantly to use her Hex more (which it's near impossible to get enough money for that). In CHIMPS, however, Ezili wins from Adora due to the fact that it's not possible to get a full map of avatars, temples and a TSG, and the VTSG is not possible without Monkey Knowledge. In short, Adora for standard Freeplay (so Easy, Medium, Hard and Impoppable) and Ezili for CHIMPS. If you're interested in ultra-lategame, I recommend watching some of MackenRules' videos on it; he's done a lot of research and has many tutorials on positioning and such. Also is (I believe) the current record holder for late game (standard) and former record holder for CHIMPS.

Ezili might he the 3rd best hero for boss events, mostly ranked least cash/tiers. Mostly due to totem and hex. As for Rosalia, she's one of the best CT Heroes out there, so if you like CT go for her.

I'm fairly new and only started playing a few months ago, but I feel as if Corvus is very underrated for new players. Corvus's global range allows him to solo many early rounds without using any spells to generate tons of money for extra safety and learning his more basic spells (spear, fire, shield and camo detection) will give any new player a strong set of panic buttons in case things go wrong, which they will since they're new (specially in round 40 lol). Yes, his skill ceiling is very high, but his floor is not that bad and while Geraldo is better, I find him way harder to get into than Corvus due to to the fact that he's basically useless unless you properly interact with his shop.

This is certainly not a take I expected to see. I find most newer players avoid any micro like the plague, and balancing the spells and mana, and knowing what bloons are coming and the strength of your defense and how Corvus can cover those strengths is the key to using him. With Geraldo at a base level you can get decent results by just placing turrets and gerry's fire whenever the game lets you. It's definitely missing out on a lot of his power, but it's still serviceable.

@@nicjoy4407 That's the thing, unless you're soloing with Corvus, you don't need to do any of that. Most of my Corvus rounds are spent using his experience spell and then his first skill, I only use the other spells when something goes wrong or on round 40. Geraldo on the other hand requires you to make hard choices about how much money you spend on his shop, whether or not you get the Quincy figurine and constantly having to micro manage his buffs. Corvus without his spells is still good early on and can solo many rounds, while Geraldo without the shop is just not worth it.

@@sct77 All of those have pretty obvious answers. NFT? No, farms are better. What items to buy? Spam all turrets, if bloons get far buy a gerry's fire. How much to spend? As much as you need to survive. These are all pretty basic questions that I feel aren't too hard to find answers to. With Corvus I found myself often using a spell or recovery and not having the mana to do what I wanted on hard maps, and you really need to know what bloons come on certain rounds to prepare for things. Also here is the biggest one. Everything Corvus does is mid-round. Geraldo you can pause between rounds and make an informed decision, take your time, and do fine. Corvus requires mid-round micro, which is the bane of most new players existence. Overall neither are really that good heroes to use early due to their complexity compared to other heroes, and trying to say which is better is pointless, as compared to Quincy's "shoot the bloon" this is infinitely more complex.

@@nicjoy4407 That's the thing, new players don't have any of this knowledge which is why I struggled with Geraldo. The NFT seems extremely important if you're on an easier map where you can actually afford it early on without losing tons of hp and the turrets are kinda unintuitive since you could just spend that money on a normal tower that can take care of camos and other things instead of constantly having to rely upon Geraldo's temporary buffs. Having to keep track of how many rounds I had left on the camo detection potion or the fire and then check whether I could afford another one takes way too much effort when I could just press the upgrade button on another tower. Hbomb had a collab with a Geraldo player who said you shouldn't spend more than 1k on early rounds, so I'm not sure about the turrets part anymore. I'm not saying Corvus is better, just pointing out he can be played like Sauda on many advanced maps and below since his spells are optional most of the time due to how efficient his ghost is.
