It would be cool if the 63z we have had 4 stage. With the smaller stages, are the outriggers are pretty fast? It'll be cool when our new 63z gets here, get to compare it to the old tech

From what I was told it was dependent on which state/country the machine was destined for as switching between the 3 and 4 stage legs allowed for slightly different mounting positions of the pump unit onto the chassis and in turn gave them the ability to shift weight around on the individual axles. Most of the 63's in Europe I believe were 4 stage front outrigger legs. The revised "gen 1.5" 63's I believe are all 3 stage front legs now.

What I love about the 4 stage leg is being able to lockout the one stage as such that when short-rigged it doesn't sit as far forward in relation to the front bumper.

@Canadian Concrete Pumper going from the 2nd 63z off the assembly line, to a brand new unit, around January, is very exciting. Those 4 stage front outriggers look super versatile, it would be cool if the machine has them. Nothing wrong with the 3 stage. I short rig like your 58-5 does, I just take up a lot more room lol

Are there European trucks for pumping concrete in Canada? (not the pump just the truck) (Mercedes, MAN, DAF, Volvo, Scania)
@canadianconcretepumper1979

We wish! Only a few options out here in terms of cabover trucks, quite a few more if shopping conventional cabs. Wasn't until 2008 that we first even got cupholders in our rigs 😂

@@martinmay91 We have looked into them, never had the pleasure of operating one however. They offer this same style of outrigger on all of their models. For that reason alone, I would love to someday have one in our fleet.

working at height with this pump in the position that is seen I would only work with the arms open because there is the possibility of a balance that can endanger and I say from experience

Manufacturer approved working range is 180 degrees both with the boom vertical, as well as horizontal. In fact, with the non working side outriggers deployed just one meter, it is permissible to boom with section A-B-C straight vertical, and section D hyperextended back over center so long as the tip elbow of section E does not cross back over the centerline of the pedestal. It is quite something to look at (especially looking down at the pump from an elevate deck), but fully endorsed by the manufacturer.

@@canadianconcretepumper1979 to be honest, that sounds scary to me. What about the volume? What is the pumping volume limit? Is there any? Because you know that when you increase volume the machine starts shaking a bit...
@canadianconcretepumper1979
@canadianconcretepumper1979 2 жыл бұрын
@@martint9009 no limits with respect to volume. From a non-engineers brain (mine, as well as most other pump guys) it defies all logic, and is scary too look at, but is completely within manufacturers allowable working parameters.

He is right, 100% safe. If you seen one go over like that it was probably out of level, went past by just a bit, or something outside of manufacturer guidelines. Once you understand the physics it's actually pretty basic, just scary because it's a big piece of steel and screw-ups cost lives so very important to stay in manufacturer guidelines. He fully understands his machines and takes the time to learn the proper way to use them. It's good to see him teaching others the safety too.

63m putz?
@canadianconcretepumper1979
@canadianconcretepumper1979 2 жыл бұрын
This one is actually a 58-5. They didn’t build many of these for the North American market. They had actually ceased production and then kicked back up to produce a half dozen or so in and around 2018 I believe. One of the best rigs Putz ever produced, in my opinion.
@saulduran4733

@@canadianconcretepumper1979 yes I agree, the best. I run a 63 putz, kinda the same outrigger design (3 stage ), I love it.
@canadianconcretepumper1979
@canadianconcretepumper1979 2 жыл бұрын
@@saulduran4733 yes, a beautiful machine indeed! They used to offer the 63 with a 4 stage outrigger as well (I believe whether they used the 3 or 4 stage front outriggers was dependant on the market which the machine was being sold), but now build them only with the 3 stage on the revised generation machine.

It’s honestly tough to say. I think that both are industry leaders and build top notch machines, a lot of it just comes down to operator personal preference. We currently have all Putz but there are specific models of Schwing which could also fit very nicely into our fleet.

@@jayfab4907 Don’t get me wrong, I still think Putz and Schwing are hands down the best performing, highest quality machines in the market. That being said, the Korean brands (Alliance/Junjin specifically) have come a looooong ways in the past nearly two decades. At the rate they’re selling pumps, and at prices that are very comparable to “the big two”, they’re most definitely doing something right.
