Well I watched on your recommendation, great show! I've never pumped past what a 61 can reach straight up. I was never a fan of stairs😂. It always seemed to be my luck that the lift was broken when I showed up😢. I remember an old timer telling me he preferred a 28m with a one ended hose over any big boom. After years on 50 to 60m booms I now know what he meant. Dont miss those tall buildings at all, had my fun with mini placers mostly. Glad you told me about this one, I learned quite a lot. ✌️

@canadianconcretepumper1979
@canadianconcretepumper1979 10 сағат бұрын
@@luissoto6880 I’m loving this drone!!! The amount of footage I can cover in such a short time versus running around on foot has really help in making my videos more time efficient. We don’t blow back into the mixer here for a few reasons, the biggest one being that there have been isolated incidents of the candy-cane setups popping out of mixer drums and damaging property and/or people. Ready mix companies aren’t hot on us blowing back into their drums for safety reasons as well as the fact that doing so requires holding their truck and driver on site later into the day when they are often nearing the threshold of “timing out” (mandated 14 hours maximum work day for commercial drivers). The other thing is that ready mix companies now charge for any leftovers which come back to the plant at days end, so most any cost savings their previously would have been from blowing concrete out into a mixer versus purging it into a rock bin and paying to have it trucked away are now, near mitigated.

@@canadianconcretepumper1979 All Putzmeister 58s here have five or six axles, I don't know of any with seven axles. Liebherr says that theoretically other chassis (European) could also be used for North America, but that is up to the customer of the pump to decide. I rather think that the European trucks do not fulfill any requirements (axle loads?) of the authorities in America/Canada or that it is too complex/expensive for a few trucks to meet them. Here in Germany, concrete pumps are not trucks in the conventional sense, they are registered here as self-propelled work machines. They are tax-exempt here, they can also drive at any time on Sundays because they transport nothing except the pump, which is firmly attached to the chassis. Theoretically, a concrete pump driver is allowed to drive 24/7 around the clock because it is not a truck. There can only be problems for labor law reasons, but these only apply to employees, self-employed bosses can do what they want. 😂 But it's funny that Canada has just ordered over 1500 Mercedes special trucks for the military, so Mercedes is allowed in North America.

What do you guys think about adjusting outrigers on the working side with the boom fully extended 90degrees from the truck.Adjusting i mean getting them higher because a little sinking in the ground.Should the boom be brought back close to the truck before doing something like that ?
@canadianconcretepumper1979
@canadianconcretepumper1979 6 күн бұрын
@@hankrum1toni This is a great question and discussion topic. My opinion: if the ground conditions are a relatively layer of loose soil on top I am comfortable with a slight bit of settlement from compaction and would monitor accordingly but more likely tighten up the outriggers on my non-working side to take up any play in the setup. If the ground is seemingly firm yet the pads still sink (even just slightly) is a huge red flag for me, especially if cracking/fault lines appear in the ground near my dunnage. In this case, I’m bringing in the boom and outriggers to build larger dunnage, or likely even just moving the machine to different setup location. In either situation, jacking fully loaded outriggers on the working side of the machine gives my stomach a sinking feeling. Once that top layer/crust of hard ground begins to let go, it can be game over. I myself I’m not a fan of doing so. Once again, thank you for a GREAT comment.
