I have 26 Jotters and a Parker Classic that all use this same refill type. My favourite, hands down is the Monteverde Capless Ceramic Gel. I've had most colours so I can match the ink colour to the pen body colour. I've tried their Soft Roll Ballpoints, which are decent, but its Gel all the way for me. Great review. I love your Jotter videos!

Nice video. I like the fisher refills, but in my experience, the plastic adapter wears out before the ink does, causing extraction and retraction issues with the ballpoint. I wish they would include two adapters with each refill or use harder plastic.

@acmramon6 жыл бұрын
Sal yes they are like £7 for 6 refills or £9 for 10 refills. They are similar to parker gel refill , plastic body and the blue color is more like a blue-turqoise. The parker gel has the best blue colour, but in your videos i dont know why your parker gel looks like a light blue, mine are darker blue. Nice review anyway(glad u started to like the quinkflow a little more).

You might not particularly want, or prefer, a FINE point Space Pen refill, from Fisher for your pen but they are seriously the best writers out of the fine, medium, bold, etc (don't know if there's an extra bold but I wouldn't go near one if there was). The ink in them must be very viscous and thick and that becomes more and more apparent and more of a problem, as you go up the nib (or ball) sizes. They get very 'gummy' and skiddy and leave bald patches in the line. As everyday writers, I find them pretty shit. There's NO problems with their fine points though, so that's what I've put in my Zebra F-701. I put my bold one in the old Fisher AG7 that came back to me, after my dad passed away and I keep it as a bit of a museum piece, type, relic in my collection that I, probably, won't use very much. BTW, I couldn't believe the current price/ value of those Fisher AG7's, nowadays. Obviously mine is a keeper. But yeah, all but the fine point Fishers, I find don't write very well. It's a popular opinion I've read on the Internet and I find it, from personal experience, to be true. So it's a Schmidt Easyflow 9000 in a Rotring Rapid Pro and a Fisher fine point in an F-701, as EDC style pens, for me!

Hey, kind of non related topic but I'm having a problem with my jotter stainless steel pen. It is made in France. I know it is not a expensive pen but it is really special to me because of the person who gave it to me. So, everything was fine and then last week it startet locking up when I try clicking it. The tip won't stay out so I can't write and if I click it really hard the tip kinda overshoot and gets out more than it needs to. Please help me.

The Fisher refill that's in your video , is it a fine point or a medium point ? Also, do you have any idea what's the shelf life on the Parker refills are ( ink) not the gel? They say Fishers shelf life is 100 years. Thank you.

When the Parker factory moved to France, I had a lot of trouble at first with their early French production gel cartridges leaking. That clear oily substance at the top of the cartridge kept leaking into my pens. I complained to Parker customer care and they sent replacements for all the cartridges plus a new pen. But I am afraid to use the gel cartridges because they are all French. I guess I can test them for awhile by writing with them without installing them in the pen. Hopefully, they have the new factory's quality problems all fixed by now, but until I can confirm that for myself by testing the replacement cartridges for awhile, I'm using German-made Schneider cartridges in all of my Jotter ballpoints. I have heard some complaints about even German cartridges leaking in recent months, however, and I'm curious what could be up with that, as none of the German cartridge companies have ever had quality issues in the past. I nearly forgot that Fisher space pen cartridges can be made to fit Parker-style pens by using the little white plastic converter that Fisher includes with each cartridge. Maybe this is the solution if even a few German cartridges are defective nowadays. The Fisher cartridges are hermetically sealed and tough enough not to leak or rupture in the total vacuum and 400-degree heat of outer space. So they should stand up to being lightly shaken up and bumped in my pocket or briefcase here on Earth!

I'm Swedish and have just been bitten by the "Penn bug". Got a pretty schweet parker Penn, and I want to try out different inks. I find most of the one recommended here are not available here, or you have to chance it on Amazon or Ebay. It is often unclear what I am actually buying. Do you have any recommendations on inks to try with my Parker penn? Or even better, some stores with a nice selection of inks. I will try out hacking a Ballograf ink refill, and I am ordering a Space Penn PR refill as well. I would like to try some inks with a lot of flow. Any recommendations available in the Scandinavian market? I want to avoid ordering overseas if possible.

This might be a really stupid question, but does the Parker take an actual G2 refill? I bought a JetStream BLX gel the other day, which looks the same as the G2/is too long for the Zebra 701, so I don't have a metal body for it yet.
