I bought these in the rosewood finish after trying a few different speakers. I'm sure that they're not the most accurate or flat speakers available but they sound soooo good with any genre of music. They make listening exciting but not fatiguing. The best comment I have had from someone listening to them is that they "sound like what I expect Hi-Fi to sound like." Add the incredible finish and I don't see myself getting rid of them any time soon.

If you want a high end tower model from Triangle : ask them for the Alpha model from the Signature line (the Mahogany finish is otherwordly). They are considered by many here in France as their top 1 Speaker.

You need to do more of their top 2 lines of products : - The Signature line (you already did the bookshelf version, but the tower versions must be amazing.) - The Magellan line (I don't think they will send to you 25 to 40k euros worth of equipment unfortunately)

I've used lots of mission speakers in the past, most used inverted drivers, tweeters underneath midbass drivers they were built like that, so inverting some speakers makes sense.

I bought the Comete(blonde sycamore) 40th anniversary a few months ago for 1500€ in Austria , I pair them with a Naim uniti atom and a SVS Sub, and I must say I am in Love with these Speakers, even my Wife likes them, both sound and looks. (the finish is just perfekt, very beautiful speakers, integrated nicely in our livingroom) I think you describe the sound very acurate, romantik, sweet sounding, very smooth sounding, what i Really love about them is the midrage, just sounds so natural, and the best Part is they Sound very good at low Volume. The tweeter is also amazing, when I got them I could not believe I am listening to a horn loaded speaker . They work perfekt with the Naim uniti atom, very easy to drive. My only complain would be, they dont have a lot of body in the midrage and, I am missing a bit of the guitar strings decay, but I guess It has to do with the paper/Cellulose driver. The SVS subwoofer Was helpfull with the body of the midrage. I also wished I could get a REL sub, but Rel customer Service answer my technically question after 4 months, so in the meanwille SVS was very helpfull buying and setting a sub. Due to my room restriction I had to place the speakers directly against the Front wall, just 2 cm away, and still Sound very good, not the deepest soundstage but still decent. I also must say I got room treatment from Gik Acoustics. Thanks for the rewiew

@ hi, for your room size you coud go both, the Problem with the rel is getting It conected to your naim uniti atom, becouse It has bananaplugs bindings, but I must say I am very happy whith the 1000pro the Integration is very good becouse of the many settings you have available with the svs App. If Set right you cannot Tell you have a sub in the room, svs customer Service is great, they will help sett up the sub.

Hello ! I am Bill from Northeastern France! Thanx ! Crazy price jump coz they’re 1500€ here! I own a pair of 25th Anniversary Comètes from 2007!! They were also made in France at the time ! I could send a photo ! Different Mid Bass Driver, horn tweeter is 2 generations older and they are bi wireable. By the way the 40th Anniversary Antal Towers ( 3 way ) go for 3000€. They received a Diapason D Or award! Merci beaucoup !!

Exactly what I'm doing. Have the stands too. You fill yours with one bag of sand each too or leave them empty? I got mine for $2400 with stands brand new. Got lucky. Got the Oak that offer now, and it's absolutely GORGEOUS. I'm using my go vintage Bell Carrillon 6060 integrated tube Amp. All NOS mullards, Amperex and Teles. It's a beast. About to set them up soon. Can't wait

On my channel I reviewed the 40th about 2 years ago had them for 4 years ' I have had over 2 dozen Amps paired to them love mine also ' but 🔺️ said they was only making 2k of each Venner which would have been 4k units total then they came out with the new venner and made 2k more !!! What I am getting at is they should be the 44th anniversary edtion lol I was 2nd person on U.S. To get the 40th Marantz Amps pair up so good !!! For the average person, it's far easier to just get shorter stands rather than turn speaker upside down. You've got your stands on boxes (subs?) If they were lower you wouldn't need to flip them. Not everyone does most of their listening standing up

Typical videos with length that I see and then click on and watch all the way through: 10:00 - 18:00 minutes. Really no need for more than that. Listening to sound demos on my $60 b-stock Monoprice MM-3's do nothing for me. Your video from the (far more interesting) old place on how to arrange your Tupperware was more interesting and useful. More of that. Honestly. That's why I subscribed. Admittedly, I'm prob not your core audience though.

I haven't heard either in person, but the best sounding bookshelf speaker I've heard on YT is the Sopra 1, which are $10k. Alpha Audio, a very high end dealer in Denmark used them as their reference speaker, and they could have used anything. You can hear a lot of great demos of them on their YT channel. The problem with Focal is that they're so overpriced in the US. The also awesome sounding Aria 906 goes for about $1000 in Europe, but they are $2200 here.

The Comete EZ base edition has better detail and clarity compared to the 906, and this 40th edition is on another level. On Advance Paris, Rotel and Cambridge systems the imaging on the Comete was also noticeably better, soundstage as well but not by as big a difference. I sold the 906 shortly after as the only thing it had going was more impactful bass, whereas on the Comete is more punchy, quicker, think SVS vs REL. Depends what you personally prefer. The 906 are still great speakers, but are also more expensive than the base Comete EZ, if the pricing difference was reversed I would consider them equal value, but not equal overall. So no, it won't be humbling for triangle, especially not for the 40th edition, unless you compare it to the much more expensive Kanta N1.

Comete EZ in it's base version is better than both Kef R3 and Focal 906. 40th Anniversary edition is another level.

The same soft French sound, no bass extension, no punch, good midrange and ok highs. Comparing it to Aria 906, the bass is slighly better with Comete EZ, but that doesn't mean much. What amazes me and other honest reviewers is the fact that the boxes of Comete EZ are huge, and still the bass extension/mid-bass bump is so weak. Probably the position of the bass port (in the front, not back) is the guilty party here. A subwoofer is 100% necessary here, but what's very clear it's that who needs bass will never buy French hi-fi - it will buy British or American or German.

Bass got better with an Advance Paris A10 Classic specifically with the Comete EZ standard version and the impact is nuts on higher volumes. Not so much on a Rotel with 80wpc more which I found odd, also the same Classic A10 sounded more muddied with the 906. All I really learnt is audio is a pita... I got the Signature Theta later on which make the bass on the Comete sound like cell phone speakers in comparison, so at least there's that.
