There are some very nice pancake style cables. Rean Neutrik are a very solid choice!

Great info. I have a 10 pedal-board, and I use (both) Mogami and Evidence Audio SIS = and it's basically . . . studio quiet with my Strymon Zuma. oNe LovE from NYC

opinions vary, depending on whether or not one has a temperature controlled soldering iron, ( EDIT, or is good with a strait wattage iron ) and peripherals.

You don't need a temperature controlled soldering iron for cables my friend. A 15 dollar 40W will do you fine. I recommend Goot. If you are only soldering cables you don't need helping hands or a clamp either, get a cheap input jack and drill a hole in a bit of wood. Insert the input jack into the wood and tighten. You now have a solid holder for your plug while soldering . (Some people use a guitar pedal as a plug holder, which is fine, but I don't like waving a hot soldering iron around near my lovely pedals with their plastic knobs) Iron, input jack, solder, flux. 20 to 25 dollars done.

@@error404m try soldering one of the new Eminene Tiny connectors with your soldering iron, and let me know how that goes.

@@error404m temperature controlled means you can set it to do your lightest work; and it will still automatically put out A Lot more heat when you need it, than any uncontrolled iron you would use on your light connections.

@@error404m some good tips there worth reading though, and in some cases, yeah......but you don't want cold dog turds.

@@RulgertGhostalker I can't see shit anyway, so soldering anything called "tiny" won't be fun. I make pedals too (as a fun hobby) and I need a magnifying glass for that, but still on perfboard (not SMC though) I use a 30W soldering iron and have absolutely no issues. 30W for PCB components 40W for Jacks and plugs.

Sp400 or 500 square plugs seem to be the best
