Great concept, but I agree with the suggested improvements. Will be interesting to see a V2 or maybe a competitor's interpretation hit the market in the future.

you can just press a button on your stream deck.... but you knew that.

This is a bit more seamless and plug & play than having to buy a Streamdeck then going through their software to program the switchover on the button. Also you'd need a streamdeck. It can probably also be done via free version of Touch Portal, but also requires additional setup/programming to configure it. Can also do it in windows with maybe 2-3 clicks which isn't much. Beauty of the tech space: options to do things whatever way is preferential.
