i really wish Fifine made a "balanced audio out" version of this mixer even if it were to be $80-$100, with separate left & right TRS balanced out ports for speakers/monitors and 2.5mm balanced out for IEMs, for SE/RCA gaming bros this is very good (you could also get the Klark mic booster for $45 to power more gain hungry mics).

Honestly, I’d stick with the GoXLR. That’s a great product and they have plans to release an open source software that will probably prolong its life. It’s still a great mixer, regardless of if there is a support team

Best starter camera for KZbin is the ZVE10 from Sony. If you want something cheaper, go Sony ZV1F. I use it as my webcam for my streams if you want to check out the quality. The b roll shots in this were on a ZVE10 with a Sigma 30mm f1.4 lens. My main cam is the FX30 with the sigma 16mm f1.4

You didn't mention if the product comes with software. As an example, I currently use a GOXLR Pro that cost me over $500. Unfortunately, it has been discontinued and will not receive any future support. This means my GOXLR Pro will become obsolete and non-functional over time. Considering the affordable price of $50 for the product you mentioned, that's quite impressive. While software is essential for adjusting sound, this device could still be excellent for gaming or everyday use, especially if it doesn't come with software. However, for podcasters, I would hesitate to recommend it unless it includes software.

Also, if I was recording a podcast, I’d be editing and retouching the audio in post, so effect’s baked in wouldn’t be ideal. If you need that, record with an application that allows this. OBS and many other platforms allow you to use VST plugins like Reaper plugins that are free.

I have the Fifine AM8 mic for streaming straight from the Xbox Series S. I'm considering buying this mixer to up my stream quality and really hope it works for my setup. I stream 100% from the Xbox (no laptop, no pc connected). I use a chromebook and/or my phone just to monitor the stream. Thank you for this video. just bought this, (along with the new am8 microphone from them) but wanted to know what the 48v button did, it says on the site that it can hurt the mic, but i wonder if that's why the Shure mic under-preformed? it just specifies that the am8 doesn't need the 48v button. either way its a very informative and fun vid dude! loved the part with your kid, very sweet!

It's about the information of condenser and dynamic mics. The former needs power to work while the other doesn't. Most dynamic mics nowadays have a protection circuit to prevent excessive power supply, like from the 48V phantom power. The AM8 isn't exceptional. And it's not about underperforming, it's just an act of caution, in case the protection fails. And besides, dynamic mics just don't need power, there's no need to bother with it.

Thanks! As far as the preamps, I don’t think they are amazing, but definitely sounded better than the same mic on USB. I believe it only gives 50db of gain, so around the same amount a Scarlet interface gives. If I were to make a comparison, I’d do it with one of those devices. I don’t think it matches the preamps of the wavexlr or the goxlr.

Okay so my question is I’m going to switch to IEMS earphones and this mixer will have the connection of the IEMS be closer to me then to put it in the back of the motherboard so the cable won’t reach where I sit because the cable is not long enough. Second part is if this device has a game audio so I can turn it up when it’s a 1v1 situation.

There are limitations to using the SC3 for the audio of your dual PC setup, such as you can't hear the Twitch notification from your streaming PC, and either the gaming or streaming PC will have the less good audio. But if you don't mind so, or you just have bought it, then the setup is pretty easy: hook up the gaming PC with USB and use the included audio cable to plug the TRS end to the line-out jack of the SC3 and the TRRS end to your streaming laptop that uses mic and headphone combo jack (if it's a streaming PC that has dedicated mic jack, then you have to buy an extra TRS to TRS audio cable for the setup).
