Maybe if your view of Witcher 3 is through the unreliable memory of having played it many years ago. If they were released in switched order I'm sure Witcher would be better but Cyberpunk 2.0 with expac is better. There's a lot of really dated systems in Witcher and it's not as immersive.

@@boltpaper3791 Yes, there is. Another 5 year old PC exclusive were just ported to console. "Hyberboxed". Starship Troopers from PC are coming to consoles 2 years later. Sega's Total War series. 100% PC exclusive. UBI have released at least 6 PC exclusives last 2 years. The list goes on. Steam alone got 4 times more new games than all consoles combined in 2023.

That's not really a bias. Games ARE better now than they could be over 10 years ago. Please go back and actually try to play those old games. Nothing before 2010 really stands the test of time. Even stuff like Mass Effect 2 with Legendary edition remaster feels so bad when it comes to combat. Game design evolves and builds upon previous games. Trying to replay Dragon Age: Origins is rough even if the game doesn't crash. You basically have to make an adjustment for release date when ranking those games, like adjusting for inflation. This list has other issues, feels very made by a console player like the top comment says.

To all the crybabies who don’t agree, you’ve clearly never ACTUALLY played BG3 or you’d agree. A game that gives you the freedom to approach everything in any way you want and usually if you think it might work it will, deserves to be first. The story and gameplay are also amazingly well crafted. You can get a huge enemy to drink himself to death or another to literally kill himself just by talking him into it. No other games on this list give you that level of freedom. Haters just hush. You. Are. Wrong.

@@sensationalrebel9459 lol alot of early games did. Fallout 1&2, baldurs gate 1,2 , every final fantasy works out it's crit chance and damage numbers with rng and stat calculations. All Elder scrolls games up until morrowind did. Heroes of might and magic. Heck any RPG that has damage numbers and stats includes a mix of math and rng, largely built on the principles made in dungeons and dragons.

Agree with baldurs gate 3. I bought it after release and played for a bit then benched it since it didn't appeal to me at first and find it rather boring that time. Now im on my 3rd playthrough pumping 300 hrs in it. I'm never going for the sharran Shadowheart even on my evil playthrough.
