Not every country got the E30 M3 as it was only LHD and the Germans kept buying them before they could leave. I know the UK didn’t have them. We got the 325i and a lot of people rebadged as an M3. Maybe it has something to do with that.

These cars were the bomb back in the day . The Honda accord with a v6 was also a sleeper and Buicks with super chargers . I’d like to see an 87 Buick grand National . These are super sweet looking .

I always found with my OG RC10GT with the OS engine that if they're broken in right you can really lean them out for your speed runs. Helps if you have a thermal camera. Or laser thermometer.

Ditto. I had a black tourer and was pretty proud as I changed the engine when the head gasket went at 300kmiles, to the alpina 2.7 variant m20. Leaving the original 2litre gearbox its acceleration was pretty rapid, especially as it was stripped inside.

I have the black one, definitely fast and those tires will definitely be gone quick. Mine came loose inside box (the straps were broke) so got scratched a little. Driving it was fun, my only issue is the delay from cogging as it is not a sensored system. As for the body, by comparison to my MST drift car body, this body is almost identical but actually slight better.. door handles and other details make this body look incredible. You can pick up some real BMW air valve stem caps and pop off the roundel and voila.. you have the proper logo.

I have both of these (hnr version) i made a diy tyre smoke kit on a 3rd channel using a few cheap parts. Maybe I should upload a video as it really looks the part with smoke trailing behind it. I'm glad ftx has brought this out, it means that spares for the hnr version will be available locally. Great video Phil, glad you managed top speed too.

You know I liked the stinger when you reviewed it and the E30 looks amazing. But I think I mentioned it in that video we’re stuck here in the states with no FTX support. So as far as getting a cool 1/7or1/8 scale go fast car I would have to actually buy a brand I’m not to fawn of. I won’t call them out but it starts with a “A” 🤣 great review! Cranking the steering rate down is analogous to how actual race cars operate. Full lock on an F1 car - except for at Monte Carlo - gives them the turning circle of a truck.
