Walgreens had 8$ rolls of Kodak UltraMax 34exp and it was great, especially in a pinch. I read they recently raised the price to $13 so wah wah to that. Great while it lasted! My local shop where I get dev done sells Gold 34exp for $10 so that's my go-to going forward. I am a slow shooter and 1 roll can take me over a month to finish.

As an east coaster ( 20 min from unique photo in Fairfield NJ ) I would just like to say that unique photo online is amazing. Unique photo in store leaves alot to be desired. Customer service is sub par at best. If you know exactly what you want, awesome, if you don't, I'd recommend going somewhere else. Dan's camera city in Allentown pa is amazing, and as always, you can't go wrong with b&h in Manhatten.

FPP is my go to, consistently the cheapest (especially for 8x10 and 4x5) I can find and they have some cool sheet film stock. Plus, their podcast is fantastic!

The one time I bought film from Amazon was when Fuji Superia 400 was being discontinued and I was trying to get my hands on some before it was gone. Everything in the listing showed the old made in Japan stock, but I got sent the new Fuji 400 anyways. Not only did I overpay, when I went to shoot a roll a month later I found that the 3 pack only had 2 rolls. Never again.

Live 5 minutes away from Unique photo, always been a great place to get film. Awesome to hear them get listed 👍

Film Photography Project is my top pick--great prices and a great selection. Reformed Film Lab is my next choice. RFL is a little more expensive, generally, but what FPP doesn't carry, they do. And of course my local when I'm I'm in the area

I recently wanted to see how much I was overpaying so I put down a bunch of film stocks I buy on a spreadsheet and logged prices across about a dozen online shops. Boutique Film Lab was generally the cheapest followed by Samy's. BFL has free shipping if you spend more than $125 but Samy's has free shipping if you spend above $49 so depending on how much you're buying and which films, Samy's might end up cheaper. I did this in the last week and haven't bought from either yet so no idea how they are as a business, customer service, updates, shipping, etc. That said, for the most part the differences in cost are less than a dollar per roll so it doesn't really matter but here are some examples: BFL and Freestyle for Portra 160, BFL is $13.95 and Freestyle is $16.39. Samy's is $13.99. BFL and Freestyle are both $9.99 for Tri-X but Sammy's is $8.99. Delta 3200 -- BFL is $12.95, Freestyle is $14.99, and Samy's is $14.90. Gold 200 -- BFL is $9.99, Freestyle is $10.99, and Samy's is $8.99.

Bluemoon in Portland has good prices and have film Fridays with discounts every week

I agree on pretty much all of that. Freestyle has a good selection at a good price. They are also one of the few places where you can get 100 foot bulk rolls. Their Arista EDU is Foma, but a little cheaper. Fotoimpex Berlin often has some films that we don't get here in the States. However, if you are outside of Europe then the tax/shipping/customs should be factored in. Unless you are buying a lot of film, say a dozen rolls or so, it's probably not worth it. And good job FPP for keeping some films available that have fallen by the wayside for the big guys.

Glazers here in the Seattle area has film. And they typically are about BH prices. They also just opened up a Lab for film developing with scans and or prints.

I actually hit up Glazer's when I was up in Seattle and got some Fuji 200, they have a great selection and for it being a local spot that you don't have to wait on shipping that's super convenient

My local place only stocks colour plus and gold which is fine enough only when I was talking to the people working there they said they get theirs in bulk from amazon… Which I was a little taken back. I shoot B&W but was looking for some colour

If you're not in a rush, Reflx labs is the best, $5 flat shipping worldwide and a decent selection (including 120, 220, 4X5 and 8X10 Aerocolor), own brand 800T, and the full selection of Vision 3 stocks with and without remjet

Amazon charges $10+ for a 24 exp roll of Ilford HP5 and i'm almost certain it has nothing to do with the seller, Amazon seller/listing fee's are BULLSHIT.
@reformedfilmlab5 ай бұрын
Yep, always cheaper to buy direct as Amazon charges fees to third party sellers on their platform.

I've mostly bought my film from B&H and my local store but I remembered that I had bought film from Roberts Camera when I was in Indianapolis while watching this video and I think that I am going to switch to them because they've got good selection and they are where I am from.

I try not to buy anything from Amazon. Especially on Prime Day.
