The past company I was using just gave a blurry example of what I just uploaded and it would make me worried my sticker would be blurry too! It's been a few months so I don't recall the exact number of promotional stickers I ordered from Vinyl Disorder but I have been very happy with them. These are promotional stickers I give out for free at comic cons if someone buys a certtain amount of product from me. I haven't tested the waterproof aspects of the stickers - I am simply going by look and feel and I was really impressed with the stickers I got from them.

I ordered 500 stickers to give out for free at Pride last year from Standup Stickers and based on this I may try Vinyl Disorder for out 1000 order this year. We were very happy with Standup stickers but Vinyl Disorder is a bit cheaper.

Thanks for reviewing more options. I personally use Sticker Mule, like their price points and specials they run (join email list). And they do 10 sticker sample specials for $10 quite often, and even $1 for random sticker samples. Anyway, I'm trying to find other weather proof options too. So I'll give Sticker Ninja a try, to start. And Sticker App. When you make your next video definitely keep the Price Comparison Worksheet you have at 12:16 - that is very helpful. Maybe do another worksheet for weight quality comparison.

You've probably made other videos on this by now, but I would love for you to review stickermule. I typically use vinyl disorder, but when I can get a good deal on sticker mule, I go with them. This was such an awesome video! I do want to say if anyone has looked into stickerla to be warned. I spent almost $200 with StickerLA and the print was horrible. When I reached out for help on their website and Facebook and email, no one ever replied. So I was out $200 for some really crappy stickers. The colors were all blurred, all the details were blurred, and the colors were muddied and grainy. Just a heads up for people.

Just found this video. Very informative!! I just started trying stickers with my artwork. I printed my own, ordered some from Sticker App & some from Vinyl Disorder, so excited to see what I prefer and what price is best for me. I know some of these companies have coupon codes and different savings apart from quantity savings. At first I was a bit overwhelmed with all the choices of where to print my stickers, and maybe I just get them from a few different ones depending on offers and price? Or maybe stick to 1 or 2... But your video is a great! I do think that having something waterproof /UV protection is somewhat important, as a lot of stickers are exposed to the elements.

It's a good idea to subscribe to their mailing lists because that's usually where you'll find the best promos. I agree with you about the UV coating. Most people who buy stickers these days expect them to last if they put them on an item that sees the outdoor elements.

As someone who has used Rockin' Monkey, I'm conflicted on whether or not I can recommend them. Agree with everything that was said in the video about color accuracy, vibrancy, and durability, but I can't get behind their lack of quality control. Some batches are perfect and some come with off-centered cuts, a jagged perimeter on the laminate of what I'm assuming is the blade that is used for cutting, and pricks/ small holes (I don't know the word, sorry) in the stickers. The small pricks are scattered throughout the designs. On the smaller 2x2 stickers its not as noticeable, but I sell peekers so a lot of the time, there are many of these pricks. I don't know what causes that. Some batches come with a lot of B-grade stickers, which the company is super nice about reprinting. But i've always had to wait 3+ weeks for my original sticker order so I'm not too happy with having to wait longer. Don't get me wrong, they are great stickers and have beautiful quality. Great for beginners like me when starting out. But now that my shop is a little bigger, I can't really take the chance on getting those bad batches.

That's disappointing to hear but glad to hear they'll reprint the bad batches. Those bad batches definitely shouldn't pass QC to begin with, though.

My one and only experience so far has been positive - but I will say I agree with the wait. They claim 7-13 days I believe if not sooner. But it took longer than that to arrive. It’s a very long wait considering they offer the option to “expedite” your order faster by giving them a deadline. I feel like everyone just makes up an excuse as to why they need them asap which leaves the rest of us waiting. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Very interesting and well presented . I find it KoOL how stickers are made. I draw and one day hope to get some stickers done. One oddball thing I do with the stickers I collect is the smell test.. yes , may be odd but there is a certain smell that goes along with well made stickers. Those is awesome Lisa, and super helpful. I'm looking forward to the results of the outdoor test. If you've got stickers to spare, I've got another test that might be useful - a peel test! I've found that some stickers are harder to peel after you've had them for awhile vs when you first receive them. Speaking to these vendors specifically, I've used sticker ninja, sticker app, sticker robot and jak prints, and they're all great in different ways that you've mentioned. I'd love to see a review of some of the special materials they use in the future. Also wanted to point out that sticker app just started offering back printing as well though I haven't tried it. Also, sticker robot's back print is B&W only, while sticker app and jak prints do full color. Finally, when it comes to cutting, keep in mind that most vendors will let you submit your own dieline. I've done this with all the vendors I mentioned in order to get full bleed (edge-to-edge) designs. Just make sure you ask them what their safety margins are first. I think most say 1/8" safety with the same size bleed, but that may vary.

Love this video! I’ve only ever used sticker app and sticker mule so it was nice to see other companies and how they stacked up. I will say maybe it’s changed since this video was posted but I personally don’t like sticker app. Though the prices are cheaper the quality can be iffy. I got stickers in both matte and glossy and glossy looked way better as the matte was twice as thin and the colors got muddy since I didn’t have straight solid colors like the example you showed. The glossy was clearer color wise but was rather thick but is a way where if you looked at it from the side you can see the thin vinyl of the sticker and then a thick layer of the gloss. This for me made it look really cheap and I feel like the layers would eventually separate They haven’t yet but I still worry. For now my go to is still sticker mule as it’s one layer and the colors in the matte are very solid and not muddy. The only thing I have to say about sticker mule is I always have to turn my colors up in saturation just a hair if I want it to be super SUPER vibrant colors

Interesting. I used Sticker Mule, as they had a 10 stickers for $1 promo. They were a matte finish and had a sort of satin texture to them. They also allowed for me to specify the off set, or how much white was around it, and that was cool. I've since learned how to make stickers myself, printing on vinyl, cold laminating, then contour cutting, but I can only do glossy finishes. So that's what I'm selling in store. I tested them out on my car for a few months before releasing them. No dishwasher to test, but handwashing seems fine. If these get busy enough to warrant just having them outside printed I'd be willing to give Stciker Mule another order and give one of these guys a try to compare. Probably sticker app. Have about 8 designs so far, but about 5 that do best. I'm off to find your 6 months later video. Thanks this was informative and hopefully useful down the line.

Of these vendors, check out vinyl disorder. When you click on their cut to shape stickers, you'll see a grey box at the bottom of the quantities section that says"need just one?". You could probably order them all individually that way. Overall it will be more expensive per sticker, though.

I'm curious, do we know if any of these vendors will do multiple different types of materials on one sticker? For example, Sticker App did holographic on one of my design elements, but I would like to do holographic/reflective on one portion of the design element and glow in the dark on other portions of the design element. @@javieraguirre5145 super awesome to hear! 😄 As far as I know, most sticker vendors use the vinyl to create the effect. For example, for holo they use a holographic vinyl, for glow in the dark, they use a glow in the dark vinyl and print on top of that. If you used a vendor that screen printed their stickers (rather than digital printing like most) theoretically they could print with metallic ink, glow ink, neon ink, etc... You probably couldn’t replicate things like holo or glitter with it though. Just a thought.

when you say a softer cut like, do you mean like the feel of it on the edge? I like for my stickers to be rounded down and smooth so no dirty and grime sticks around the edges. I have stickers from sticker app and they're sharp on the edges

I mean rounded edges as in there are no pointed, hard-angled edges. I guess I just don't like rounded contours :). I haven't noticed any grime or edges collecting dust in the rounded vs sharp edge contours. I know what you mean by the grime though, but it appears to have to to do with some vendors having a bit of adhesive around the edges. I'm guessing this has to do with how they cut them -- laser vs. plotter cutter. I think the laser-cut ones get stickier and attract the grime. I've resorted to leaving them in the ziploc bags they come in to mitigate this.

I was very disappointed in my order (which was very large) from Rockin' Monkey. I would not recommend them. I sent a very high rez file and the print was blurry and the edges rough. Came out much better when I reordered from sticker mule. I prefer SticerkApp for cost / speed. Sticker Mule for thick tough feeling stickers, but are a bit more costly. -- Thanks for this video I'm always curious about other options.

I’m shopping around for a supplier. Was hoping to find a POD but I don’t know if their quality is as good. Do you? I personally love StickerApp. I have a friend who’s an artist who’s been using them for years. I have a few of his gloss stickers on my van that still look great after 3 years outside in the harsh Aussie weather. So that’ll be my pick if I end up having to store my own inventory. Still would prefer POD as I travel full time & holding inventory would be tricky.

I'm also a big fan of StickerApp- they're my go-to. I have yet to find a POD vendor that even touches the quality of most of the vendors in the video. The other issue I ran into with PODs aside from the product not being as high quality, is the fact that their prints are inconsistent. Personally, I just can't put out a lack-luster product and have even further inconsistencies. Maybe I'll eventually try to do a review on all POD companies for a good across-the-board comparison.

Yeah, I actually think the contrast is better on glossy rather than matte. Sometimes matte ends up looking more washed out.

I have a question do you know any stickers companies that can allow you to have free samples of your own stickers

None of these do, and I've never come across one that does. Some will send you a pack of past stickers they've made to show you their various stocks and materials. Otherwise, your best bet is to go with some of the ones I mentioned with low minimums that allow you to print 1 sticker to see how your design is looking printed. Vinyl Disorder was best for this in this bunch.

Print-on-demand is one area of stickers I've never looked into, so unfortunately, I don't have a good answer for you. Maybe this could be an interesting future video, though.

What material did you pick on sticker app for the glossy finish. I don’t see glossy material on the website?

For your cut to shape stickers, how east are they to peel off from the backing? Have you run into any issues where your damage/crease/wrinkle a sticker when removing a sticker from the backing?

Most of these don't have the cutback to remove the backing, but overall I haven't had issues removing the stickers. The sticker material is substantial (more like plastic / not like paper) enough to not create wrinkles or creases.

Sorry if you've already addressed this question, but do any of the mentioned businesses do print on demand or drop shipping? If not, do you know of any? I'm looking for a POD/drop shipping company that does a contour die cut/kiss cut sticker instead of on a sheet. Thanks in advance!

Hey, none of the ones mentioned in the video do printing on demand or drop shipping. You could try Printful. They do what you're looking for in both kiss-cut and sheets. I've never printed stickers with them so I don't know about the quality. I actually use Printful for print-on-demand and drop shipping art prints. It connects nicely with Shopify and I'm happy with them so far.

@@redhalftone Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I've been checking out Printful, Printify and other POD companies, but all of their stickers come out on a sheet, regardless of the type of sticker. Was hoping someone knew of a way to get stickers contour cut where the backing is the same shape as the sticker itself from a POD company so I don't have to order 50+ stickers and then ship myself. Contour cut stickers just look much more high-end/premium.

Thanks for checking it out! StickerApp prints transparent -- I've tried it and recommend it. All of the vendors mentioned in the video do as well, but I haven't tried those.

I'm trying sticker robot but I'm not sure if the colors will be right. I converted my files to CMYK but when I check the previews on the site the colors are all completely off

I'd ask them if they could send a digital proof and then compare their proof to your CMYK file. However, looking at color on screens is usually not very telling because colors can vary quite a bit and just not be represented accurately. But I'd start with the proof. Good luck!

This is prolly a dumb question but if I want to print stickers with fluorescent colors in the design, what are the options? Is that a particular printing process or sticker material or can any printing service generally do prints with fluorescent inks? Thanks.

With digital/CMYK printing you won't be able to achieve fluorescent colors. The digital/CMYK process is what most of these vendors offer. You'll want to look for a vendor that offers silkscreen/screenprinting and will Pantone color match or at the very least will offer the basic fluorescent inks. Of these vendors, Sticker Robot actually does offer screen-printed stickers with Pantone color matching so it's likely you could achieve this with them. However, keep in mind that it will be more expensive than what's shown in this video because you're getting into specialty printing.

really helpfull video, thanks! I have used stickerapp, but my stickers where way to dark...I don't know how to prevent it! My artworks are way lighter and on my laptop they look way lighter as well.

Hmmm Technically speaking, you should export files for print in the CMYK color profile, but I found with StickerApp exporting them in RGB ends up yielding better color. Could it possibly have to do with color profiles?

which on would you recommend for someone starting an etsy shop? ive never made stickers before or bought from any of these websites, im wanting to make stickers of cartoony people, animals, etc

If you're just starting out and you're still experimenting with the art/seeing what designs people gravitate to buying, I'd start with one of the cheaper vendors like Vinyl Disorder. That way, it will be pretty low cost and your budget will likely go further. Once you've kind of established yourself you could check out some of the other ones. I personally really like StickerApp and they do effects stickers like holographic, glitter, metallic, etc.... better than many of the others.
