Yes . Luna's (I called it) . My parent's took me there and I loved it . (70's) Escarole and Scungilli and Calimari (what I always got) I remember you could look in and see the whole kitchen . A very nice , skinny old waiter and do you remember one very funny waiter with the raspy voice ? I forgot his name . He was in a few movies. He was the best . A real true character. Old New York . Gone .

I've never been to New York but I would assume that much like New Orleans the culture has been so diluted and there are so many tourist traps that it's really almost impossible to find a truly good place to eat for someone who knows what good food is. I lived in New Orleans for fifteen years and the best places used to be the hole in the wall joints way away from the quarter. I've never eaten at a restaurant geared towards tourists because I know what they serve and it ain't worth a tenth of what they charge.

If I listen to you guys for more than a hour, I start talking like you. I used to work down the street 2 or three blocks in the alley there for 4 years. Guys tried to steal my job, getting their egos all pumped up, but they got thrown out on their ass in less than a hour. Yet, I could come down here on a sunny day just for a walk around the block, yet my job paid to good for the rest of you. Cause I did what I was told and kind of miss the screaming at me. Yea don't ague, just do what your told. They'd come here thinking they can do my job, cause I make it look so easy. But within a hour, they have to start arguing. Right? I'm very unique like that. I really miss that job. I still can't believe how much a day I was paid to goof off. And the food is really sick here, but I knew enough better not to bring it back to work, cause they made their own food in the alley too.
