I have been living in Port Saint Lucie since 2006 and at this time I believe PSL is turning into Broward and Dade County. The area now is so overpopulated and crime is following.

Great video. Good info. Port St Lucie will continue to grow and develop an identity. If taxes stabilize and planners continue to modify outdated plans, it will be one of the best places in Florida... As long as people can still get a nice house for a "reasonable" price, there is no stopping what PSL could become.

Don’t get sick because the hospital can’t keep up with this population growth. 24-36 hours before getting a room for extended care. ER visits are a mess. City planners should shamed for not keeping up with medical needs for a retired population .

It's devoid of almost all culture, much like the rest of these cities in Florida that popped up in a day or two. It's soulless. It's purgatory. It's a big strip mall surrounded by houses that all look the same.

Yes and no. Yes for now but it is building its soul. Many places to the South are over-populated and lacking in culture considering.
@Jims55432 ай бұрын
Culture? Crap pee and vomit on the sidewalks like in NYC? That kind of culture? Crazies randomly punching you in the head or pushing you onto subway tracks? That kind of culture? Florida has lots of culture, lots of fantastic museums and lots of theaters both for traveling troops and local community theaters. In West Palm Beach there are some great museums and theaters. In Miami there is Museum row, in St. Pete there is a fantastic Dali Museum that I have been to too many times to count. What Florida really has, especially the treasure coast, unspoiled empty beaches we live in complete paradise here. I am lucky, I live in Jensen Beach and can have my toes in the sand in a 5 minute drive from my house. So in the end, tell me you know nothing about Florida without saying it.
Riverland is the tops for active adult. No other community compares to its amenities.

@LeeBrickeytv also make sure to tell your viewers that saint lucie has one of the highest insurance rates in Florida because they are the number one county with people that speed.
@Jims55432 ай бұрын
@@robertirizarry9917 I saw that article and do not believe it. I have traveled all over Florida, from Palm Beach on down to Dade, the speed people travel at on the highways down there is insanity. If you are doing 80 in a 65 down there you have to be on swivel, most are going 100+ down there. Now, PSL has stupid low speed limits on their main roads. Perfect example, Walton road, where it is a 4 lane divided road with no residences along it, the speed limit is 35 which is way too slow. When is narrows down to 2 lanes with houses, side roads, and driveways the speed increases to 45. How does that make sense? Crosstown Parkway should be a 55 MPH road at the least, it is a 40 MPH road, a 6 lane divided highway. People speed here because the speed limits are too low for the roads.
