They got SO MANY top notch, insanely well known Vocaloid Producers for the Project Voltage songs! And you can even tell based on the song how old or new of a fan of Pokemon each of those producers is! Like the ones who only really played to the Gen 1 Nostalgia vs the ones who would include even Gen 8-9 pokemon and tunes. My favorite for sure is Eon Ticket/Mugen no Ticket. The producer wrote on the description of the song that he used to be obsessed with the Lati Twins since he was a kid and was super happy to be able to make an official song about them.

My favorite parts from checking into the Jakarta streams were the giant balloon pokeballs and the giant walls with all the Pokémon on them (except Hisui, RIP) sorted by regions.

29:48 oh how I wish I had not been able to see all 156 Pokémon from BW half a year before playing... I love all of those Pokémon, but I can't imagine how much more special it would have been to discover them one by one within their intended context!

Animal Crossing Pocket Camp came out an entire month before the rest of the world in Australia back in 2017 so this wouldn’t be the first time a mobile game has had a soft launch in that region of the world.

I remember which Eevee stop you were talking about. You can stay underground and hit everything. It took me a bit to figure it out on Saturday. I stayed at the Central Park Mall both days and went to PIK2 after for the concerts. Overall great event, but I went to Bali also so there wasn’t a lot of pressure to grind everything. Also price/economy wise, the way a US/NY based player sees Japan prices, a Japan/Tokyo player sees Indonesia prices. You need to get there though.

I was a bit stressed at that mall since I saw “no camera” signs everywhere. Obviously if I wasn’t live-streaming it wouldn’t have been a big deal. Fun event though, I just wish I had planned better, but I will def want to come back to Indo.

@@PKMNcast Now that I think about it, there was a Japanese girl/woman? streaming at the mall on Saturday/Sunday. I would go again also. Pikachu backup dancers were amazing.

oh no... seems if I want to feed snorlax in the morning before maintenance, I'd have to do it before 6:30am, which would mean I'd sleep even less than usual 💀

Steve: "I'll use the Ezzz Ticket on sundays to get the 5% in the powerplant" Wait, how am I ahead of you by... several weeks? Either Sleep came out in Europe way earlier than I remember... or I managed my area bonuses better before they added the spill-over feature? By the end of this week all my areas will hit the 60% cap of the Area bonus, so literally anywhere I go will add 5% to the new area LOL

On that note "it'll probably give 4% of the bonus to Snowdrop" I'm pretty sure we've already figured out how it works when it was implemented: it distributes the 5% one by one, going through your areas that are not capped yet. So if you have 3 areas left to increase, it goes A-B-C-A-B, A=2% B=2% C=1%

All my areas are maxed besides snowdrop. I was on green grass a lot longer that most areas before the change to boost others.

It was clearly an event for the local market which as was mentioned, is an emerging market for Pokémon in general. It sounds like it was mostly a TPC event which is why Niantic wouldn’t be advertising beyond what they did. Indonesia is one of the most populous countries in the world so attendance was clearly not something TPC was worried about. Sure the tourism arm of the Government could have paid TPC to market to a global audience but short of that I can see why TPC made it a special event for locals.
