I saw this happen live on stream. It was a punch in the gut, but this shows you got this gunner that was an amazing run.

We also did a thumbnail test. We had two thumbnails, one which had an image of Pikachu vs Lucario as background and the other having a screenshot with Rival 2 on Nugget Bridge as a background. The one with rival 2 won with 55% so that's the one which is now visible to all!

Mt Moon manip is the last manip of the run. If you're talking about potential run killers: rival 2 (sand attack/growl troll), Misty (just dying to Starmie bubblebeam), Surge (should be fine most of the time but you need red bar or be in a position to set up red bar for Rock Tunnel), Rock Tunnel (if you need to setup red bar), Silph red bar, Giovanni, Lorelei, Bruno, Agatha, Lace and Champion lol. You also need to get lucky and get no late game encounters in Mansion and Victory Road

I dont know about a evt time loss but what are the options when talking about the raichu. A XDefence?

He has Thunderbolt which Nidoran is immune to, sometimes he's using XSpeed despite Raichu being faster anyway. Then theres Mega Kick instead of mega punch + noncrits. The options are just to fight and win without RNG killing you - as chances are on your side

Why dont you just pick up a potion or revive from the mart if you are so head? Even with the timeloss you'd still be in advantage. Too many good runs get wasted on this Raichu for no real reason.

It would just be too slow unfortunately. You also need the red bar setup for the part after Surge. The red bar allows you to skip the level up jingles en death cries, which saves a bunch of time. World Record gets it so if you don't, you just lose so much time in comparison. If he wants to complete the game and get a decent time then yea he could heal more, but in order to get world record you simply can't
