This portable monitor looks good for those who also don’t have space for a full time standing monitor as it can be easily put away like a tablet

This seems to be the perfect monitor for my Node 202 build, high refresh and adaptive sync should be standard on any gaming monitor.

I had it and returned it. The colors were really amazing! Loved this portable monitor! Unfortunately it suffered from too much backlight bleeds and it's restricted to max 30Hz when you select resolutions higher than 1080p. Not worth the price.
@VapersRecruit4 жыл бұрын
Dude it’s a 1080P monitor.. why not go for the 1440P monitor if you want that resolution? I know personally I love gaming at 1440P on my 27” monitor but there really isn’t a need on a 17” display. It’s too small to see a real difference in games.

I do some research for gaming laptops as you've mentioned earlier in the video but the problem is most of them poses bloatware and many are still prone to thermal limitation. So, IMO mini ITX combo with portable monitor is a nice option to look for. Thanks for the video. PS. PC is easier to upgrade.
@JammyMunkyTech4 жыл бұрын
Yeah defo! Laptops are way more convenient, but a portable ITX isn't far off either. The upgrade aspect for me is the best part, although you won't catch me rocking out an ITX combo in cafe anytime soon ;)

This is my first time here. I love the high quality of your video. Plus also the information you give. "Information is Power". I was wondering if you could. Have 3 of them together. Maybe running one to another. To have a 3 display gaming setup. I'm trying to turn my *Mancave / Space Station Rig. I'm thinking of an out post. Like in the old movies. In a crazy crapy station. With different monitor to look at different information. You have a new subscriber sir. Thank you for posting this video. Keep up the great work..

Andy. Do you still have this? What did you find in terms of refresh rates at different resolutions? I read a review stating that 120 hz was only available at 720p. That true?

Great review. 👌🏻 I guess that the monitor is a TN panel (still a no go for me because it is 1080p tho). Imo, it's not more widespread because gamers tend to be split in 2 groups: - heavy bulky desktop rigs - portable hipsters with their laptops Here, you're talking about a 3rd group that is pretty much too small for being profitable for a company if you take in account the various models gamers wish to have. Indeed, having to choose between 3 monitors may not be the most optimal. And, people tend to use less and less the 17" format, so that + the fact that you need it to be properly cooled, somehow shock resistant and all the various challenges that it comes with. Definitely not worth the effort IMO. And yeah, it makes me sad too... 😔

1080p on a 17 is very sharp and easy to drive from an entry level or older card.
@teddym28084 жыл бұрын
Basically for those who use their laptop at home, you can create a FAUX mini PC with this 17" screen.. I am very curious how it would compare as a gaming alternative to an expensive 17" gaming laptop. A self built small PC with this screen would surely be WAY cheaper.

I never buy cheap quality crap! I also don’t want to overspend. However, I would choose the better of the variety if the prices are negligible ($100-200 difference).
