Oddly enough this is EXACTLY what I've been searching for over the last few weeks. The features most lacking in existing options were full-size HDMI (while still being thin) and a built-in battery. I particularly love the full-size USB hub/host port feature. Shame it doesn't seem to be mentioned at all on their US/UK sites yet (still showing the V2).

@@mikejaques4702 I do have a Fold 3 with DEX, with which it would be great; but the main thing I want such a device for is as a self-contained portable monitor for various headless devices I have around the home and office. If they become inaccessible over the network (or I need local access), a battery-powered monitor with full-size HDMI and a USB port for a keyboard would be super convenient.

I bought a portable touch monitor with CDN $190 (tax included) from amazon. It was from china, 13.3 inch screen with touch support also had 400 nits brightness and HDR. It was cheap. I liked it but later I returned it and bought a second hand windows tablet. Tbh, that monitor was really good with good colors and hdr was good.

I actually found my permanent solution, Lenovo's Yoga Pad Pro or Yoga Tab 13 in the US. SD 870 13" Android 12 tablet with a HDMI input that turns it into a portable monitor! It's been working amazing for me both for work and play because it runs Android too! You should definitely check it out, it's really underrated!

Look at UPERFECT X True - does not require a case to protect the screen, thin keyboard that can be turned out of the screen, built-in battery and card reader. IMHO this is the best option for android or modern portable consoles.

I personally have a Egobas Smart portable monitor also with battery. it has all these features (albeit a mini HDMI) and android TV but I sideloaded some alternative app stores so I can install apks that aren't restricted to the Google TV store sadly I don't believe there is a way to add the original play store and I plan to try flashing normal android but I already set up emulators and have been enjoying it as is for now so that will come when I get annoyed by the android TV experience.

@@wHyNoTCaTs-ef4yh it was perfect but it's kind of slow when not using HDMI or USB C. Being an android tv OS made it harder to use things like retroarch and some streaming apps but the hassle wasn't too much I eventually got to play Megaman and Pokemon on it pretty easily. As a third monitor it's been great but I haven't taken good care of it since it's been falling from my desk tablet mount almost every other day. Which means it's incredibly sturdy. But the HDMI and USB C video stopped working recently and I'm not sure why. As a supplemental 3rd monitor it was just what it was, as a tablet it was good enough I watched 4 seasons of power rangers on it, and for gaming obviously bad but I was surprised I could even play up to GBA on it. So overall 8/10 might buy again

great video buddy! i have a question, when i use ready for i can't use a keymapper, the stock mouse cursor overrides the one that comes with they keymapper so i just use mobile screen cast instead. do you have any workaround to use keymapping in desktop mode? thanks!

Is it really full multitouch for Mac? MacOS does not support it natively, so for instance with a touch monitor you can use touch but you cannot do things like scroll pages with one finger as you would do on a tablet or Windows laptop....Can you do it with this monitor?

I was hoping to find a touch screen for my wife's Toshiba laptop and I found a touch screen at a good price but it wouldn't work with the laptop. Got a small desktop for her to use with the screen and she went to that as her main PC. Yea, the touch screen functions through the USB-C ports, but HDMI currently doesn't have that ability. A computer or Laptop that has a USB-C port, it might be possible. Too my understanding, I think I read recently of certain video cards start having USB-C port(s) on it, and may work through that as well.

Are there mini tiny PCs with specs similar to Steam Deck already out there? Imagine using this plus the monitor plus a clamp style gamepad to make a Frankenstein Steam Deck Plus XXL Ultra... xD I mean, 15.6" is a bit too much, but perhaps a more manageable size like a tablet or something. In fact... I think Samsung tablets compatible with the latest Dex/SmartView stuff can also be used as monitors... but I think it's only for other SmartView compatible devices.

The higher end Samsung tablets CAN act as a monitor through something they call "Second Screen" (part of SmartView). I recently bought one of the cheaper Samsung tablets to use as a monitor for a mini PC. It did NOT work because only the high end tablets support "Second Screen/Smartview" and I don't want to buy an $800 tablet just to use it as a monitor.

One thing I would ask about is if can be used as a powerbank as well, be it for the phone or laptop. It would be intersting, but I could also see issues where you have enough charge in both for how long you need to use them, but the display charges the device and now while you have the device for longer, you no longer can use the display

actually some other Chinese mfg also has Mac compatible touch screen portable monitors out. Such as Ehomewei, Innocn (which is a big monitor OEM) all have some of their monitors has touch screen feature working with Mac. Just be careful as they usually are very bad at specifying which model can do what.

I have both the EHomeWei and the Innocn N2F Pro, the Innocn is much better monitor with beautiful color, but the battery makes it so much heavier and thicker (similar weight as review one?) that I wouldn't bring it on the go. The EHomeWei is 1440p variant which has great resolution, but the color and contrast is awful, maybe good for touch control on apps, definitely not good as drawing tablet or any color critical work. pretty light, though.
