The 180mm is a great lens for the RZ/RB as long as you have enough room in the space you’re shooting. I really dig these photos, so crisp and colorful.

Thank you so much! And yes, I fully agree. The 180mm lens really surprised me.

I’m really enjoying seeing all of these videos from young photographers like yourself using gear with which they’re not 100% familiar. I was you about 45 years ago.. keep at it sir. Embrace the mistakes that you are making and will continue to make.. that’s the magical process of wisdom being developed. Over the years, I’ve been very happy with my medium format cameras - my RB67 Pro S, Bronica SQ, various TLRs, etc. - for enabling me to earn the wisdom I have and continue to acquire. Nice shots!

Feather the BD and use the R edge of the light to light his face and the hot center on the background. That will give you chiaroscuro dark against light separation between the shadow side of his face and his lighter face against the darker bg.

I went to a rick olson focusing screen with a split prism and that makes nailing focus instantaneous. If you are sending you film to a lab at $2.50 a shot, it quickly pays for itself not to mention, ends the question did I get the shot in focus and eliminates having to take several re focused shots to get one.

I have a RB67 but not used it in years. I took some ariel pictures for the company I worked for and got a couple of interesting multiple images by not advancing the film.
@michaelbennettphoto9 ай бұрын
The next time I use it, I need to be more conscious about advancing the film back.

I expect your blank roll is from the mirror up switch being accidentally twisted to mirror up. That means when you hit the shutter button, the mirror pops up and it sounds like you took a shot... you didn't, only lifted that huge mirror. Then use the side lever to re cock the shutter and click again, again no photo. My m/u knob is gaffer taped in place. I never use m/u so hadn't checked the knob... til I too got a blank roll.

That would make sense.

Hey bro! I had this same thing happen to me from using a Blue RGB light with a RZ67 - I shot 5 rolls and the blue light set up was the 3rd roll I shot. All of the other rolls came out perfect. I did a red and tungsten set up as well that developed but for some reason the blue did not.

Yeah that’s strange, I would have loved to see how the images with the flash turned out.

which shutter did u use man

Blank roll might’ve been upside down, if noticed when unloading just spin it back in a darkbag
@michaelbennettphoto9 ай бұрын
Honestly that’s a pretty good guess. I wouldn’t be surprised if that was what happened.
@jordansmith43539 ай бұрын
Great video! Maybe you could slow down and be a bit more precise with ur words about the first location. It was a bit hard to understand what happened with the film
@michaelbennettphoto9 ай бұрын
Noted! But I’m not 100% sure what happened with it. It just wasn’t exposed to light. It could’ve multiple things.

Which RGB light is that?

Hey Calvin! It’s the Zhiyun M20C. I picked it on Amazon.
