My dad's friend was big into dogs and training them. He had more than 10. One day he went shopping for a couple of hours. He came back and one of his dogs had his mouth around some guys neck. Afterwards when he called the cops it came out he was lying there for 2 hours with the dog and whenever he tried to move the dog would tighten it's grip. He was gonna rob his house that's why the dog got him so it's pretty nice to train your dog's.

1:16 I LOVE how that dog immediately stayed locked on to the threat as his human continued to walk behind him. My dog did something similar to this but I didn’t give him a command. We were taking a late night walk and a stray dog came out of nowhere and started growling at me. My dog stood between me and the stray the entire time. As we passed he stayed a little ways behind me but walked backwards with me keeping his eyes on the other dog. When I was a certain distance he turned around and caught up with me but continued to look back and make sure the other dog wasn’t following. He did great and was such a good dog. The day he died........ it DESTROYED ME. RIP JACK! 😭

I don't understand how people think this way. They want to buy mature protection dogs, already trained? Nobody in Europe does that. You cannot trust a dog that you didnt raise! Its not a car to give it from 1 person to another and expect to be the same car and behave the same.

@beepbeep5798 жыл бұрын
I can make dogs that have never seen me obey my comands behind their fence but that doesn't mean i can go into that yard or that dog sees me as part of his pack. Tried it with a Giant Shnautzer , he never saw me before and he obeyed. Mature dog but i wouldnt take that as an invite to go into his teritory or trust him more than that. There are times when you can't trust your dog in certain situations because they will go on instinct from time to time, they will test you from time to time to see if you are still worthy to be the pack leader.
@MarioDragon8 жыл бұрын

Literally the one where the man tried to approach her and the dog barked is so relatable. I had a guy follow me for two blocks a few weeks ago and when he tried to approach me finally my dog went off the rails. he's not professionally trained. But he does have good instincts. When I have the money to have a professionally trained guard dog I am absolutely going it.

What happens if someone walks up and approaches just to ask for directions?
@PremierProtectionDog9 жыл бұрын
+Burton H nothing, the dogs are trained to bite only on command, this is why you see so many comments like " 3:44 you're dead" This was a drill to control the dog and not allow it to attack even when gunshots are fired. At 3:19 the dog is told to bite, as the person appears not be any threat. In both situations the dog is under control for training purposes and it can bite or not depending on what the owner decides in every situation. hope this helps

They're not trained to go for the neck because that could be fatal. Military dogs were trained to do that and after serving they had to be put down. They were trained to attack low so the victims hands would drop to get the dog off, thus the dog lunging and killing them with throat and neck bites.

A great dog in general. Just wondering, the way the dog acts when someone approaches it is a bit concerning, if someone comes and vists your house how does the dog respond to a person that doesnt understand boundaries? Or if your just walking public and the dog gets out of your grip and attacks an innocent person?
@Gaius__5 жыл бұрын
He will not. He is not a vicious animal indiscriminately attacking people. He is trained to protect his handler when given the command. No command, no action.
@majzerofive4 жыл бұрын
@@Gaius__ the dog should have his own opinion, otherwise he wouldnt be any good in terms of protecting. That is shown somewhere in a vid where someone comes behind. Still confuses though. If someone comes to you with a knife, like a butcher, but without a threat. Would he attack or ignore a person that could (although not intending to) do harm to the owner?

+Premier Protection Dogs I will soon be in the market for a dog (my condominium association doesn't allow pets), upon moving into my new home. I have researched a number of breeds, and it has come down to the Rhodesian Ridgeback and the Belgian Malinois. I am very fond of both breeds, but as far as obedience, I don't think any breed can match the all-around superiority of the Malinois. That said, I have a couple questions: 1) How long would your company take to train a Malinois for a basic guard dog?; 2) Is it possible to have a well-trained Malinois that will be able to relax inside the home, after they get their usual daily exercise? (I know the Malinois is a VERY high-energy breed, and while I like to be outdoors and would take the dog out for daily exercise, I also don't want to have an OVERLY hyper dog inside my house.) Thanks, Mike in Boston

Ysmanol Batista I know what you mean. I personally prefer a German shepherd any day over a Malinois, and i like Doberman's too, they are cool dogs. Not that i dislike Malinois.. i know they are good protectors, i just prefer the harder takedown, raw power of a German Shepherd, plus German shepherds are ranked a lot higher in intelligence. To each his own though, Malinois owners have their reasons for liking their breed.

I notice that the dog invariably got beaten to death or shot in each scenario. It never once went for the hand/arm that the weapon was placed. I have never protection trained a dog,so please don't take this as a criticism. The dogs call back obedience was excellent. But i really don't understand why you aren't training them to recognise the importance of disarming. Please explain.
@user-rc2qs9wi7i8 жыл бұрын
The force of these bites especially in the arm is enough to make anyone drop a weapon. Also if they just but the hand it's much easier to get your hand away and it causes less damage.

TopM8 I just can't see it. If I've got a gun in my left hand and the dog is doing its best to rip my right arm off,my immediate(anybody's) reaction is going to be to shoot the dog. Not drop the gun and submit.

Not to nick pick at anything but I believe the dog should attack the arm the weapons in. As the person is less likely to be able to attack in that case. While if he’s going for the other arm the dog could still get hurt.
@kyraandfriends1466 жыл бұрын
Haroon Akhtar I agree.
@meganmena3776 жыл бұрын
The dog likely would have a hard time distinguishing it. But I'm sure they owner could teach them to do different attack points and when the handlers know which hand a weapon is it it can command to attack or switch to that arm.
