Wanted to give an update, I got the Globular Cluster halo strap and facial interface. They only ship 3 pads with the facial interface and they’re all too thin. So what I did was grab the pads off my Quest 2 VR Cover interface. They work suspiciously well almost as if it’s the same design 😂. A little tricky to get it to all fit with the thickest VR Cover pad, but the medium one fits 100%. Ill probably see if GC will send me the thicker pads for free, but thr VR Cover pads totally work! Now I just have to decide if I want to keep the KCBOVR interface. The magnetic swap out is just too nice of a feature for so many reasons!

Is the Q2 VR cover thicker than usual? I also noticed the PU leather pad on the Globular F3 seemed a bit less dense than usual, however that was my least favourite interface. I plan on trying the KKCOBVR interface soon though. Do you have any photos of your facial interface setup?

It's a car heat wrap but it was very difficult to install, it would be way easier to buy a skin/vinyl made for Quest3 instead. I only bought the heat wrap as I wanted a complete seal.

You should try a custom-made interface, the Oblik. It’s expensive, but because it’s custom made it fits your face like a glove and is the most comfortable interface

@@Eagledocstew I was curious about that but I was already happy with the AMVR v2 that I couldn't see any reason to get the Oblik, especially with the higher cost. The v3 also has a gel layer in the cushion so it's even closer now. What advantage(s) am I missing on the Oblik?

Aw man.. I have a Globular on order (shipped) but based on this review, I might return it. You mentioned cheekbones.. with my stock Quest 2 facial interface, I have no problems. With the stock Quest 3 facial interface, I find it presses on my cheekbones in an uncomfortable way. I thought I had read people saying that the Globular was better for that, but now I se eyou mention that you didn't have the issue with the others but did with the Globular? I'm not picky, at all, with facial interfaces (hence the stock Quest 2 and 3.. and I've owned the 3 since it came out and still haven't replaced the interface til now). Is there one you'd recommend specifically for the cheekbone issue or just "any of these minus the Globular"? ha Thanks! Good reviews are always welcome.

Unfortunately despite how much attention to detail they put in the F3 I just didn't find it as comfortable compared to the others, it's a shame because their halo strap (CMQ3) is literally perfect to me, way beyond anything else I've used. The F3 is still very usable and does have advantages over the others, but the comfort isn't as great so that's why I was hesitant to recommend it. All I can do is explain all the pros/cons and let people decide which is best for them as we all have our own preferences.

@@Verociitywell your recommendation lol. AMVR seems a little too pricey and KIWI is out of stock. I think I’ll just wait for Kiwi to restock or fingers crossed it’s available in more countries

@@Dyl3423 the Kiwi is the same price as the AMVR, however there's also nothing wrong with the Maecker. I think the AMVR version is totally worth $10 more though, it's the most comfortable and also comes with both PU leather and ice silk gel covers.

Be careful, I recently ordered one from Amazon but when it came it was the V2 not the V3. I had to order the V3 straight from the AMVR website as I couldn’t find the V3 on Amazon

From what I've heard Amazon only has the old V2 interface, but if you buy direct from AMVR they only sell v3.

Can the AMVR v3 be adjusted at an angle so the top is closer to the face than the bottom? Kinda how the v2 can be adjusted independently on the 4 sides but you adjust on medium on the tops and high on the bottom sides.

@@BuwnyCinnamon unfortunately the Q3FC3 only has bottom adjustment, I didn't realise people wanted to adjust the bottom and top separately. That's one advantage the V2 has and it's still a great interface, the v3 isn't a huge upgrade.

Which would you recommend for the BoboVR S3 Pro strap? I heard loads of issues with compatibility

I don't have the S3 pro but I've read it's compatible, I linked a photo in the description. In my previous AMVR review I also demonstrate this with a different halo strap where I flip the mounts in reverse to get it even closer, raising the halo pad is also an option. All the comments also say it's compatible with their M3 which is basically the same size as the S3. Here's the previous AMVR review if you want to learn more about compatibility: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZmGci2SsobR_oK8 If you're still concerned then the Kiwi and MaeckerVR are standard size so they'll work fine as they leave plenty of space.

so far the best facial interface is no facial interface. the FOV is increase is so crazy i really feel ripped off by these interfaces. the only problem is having light leak, and if the edges near the nose can hurt a bit but its like the only way i watch movies or tv shows in quest now. if i am gaming i prefer no light leak so i put the interface back on, but im trying to find ways to block the light and add a slight bit of cushion because the FOV is so much better.

No interface is great for mixed reality as it blends in with your surroundings, but for VR it breaks immersion which defeats the purpose. A great strap I've found for this is the Kiwi Design H4 as it can adjust the height/depth of the headset. My main goal is also to get the max FOV, in fact I used the frankenfov mod (cushion without interface) on the Quest2 for years, but the Quest3 is SO compact that most interfaces now get my eyelashes right up to the lenses. As someone who went to great lengths to mod interfaces over the years I can honestly say these new interfaces make modding obsolete. This is what I wished for on the Quest2 and is why I stress how much better the FOV is now with these interfaces compared to the stock.

@@Verociity i dont know how you can be immersed with 12lbs of vr headset on the head. im close to figuring out a frankenfov mod for it similar to my hb reverb g2 with the samsung odyssey cushion, but i cant get it to fit just right, but im close. i use lens protectors anyway so im not worried about my eyelashes

I also used the frankenfov on the Reverb G2 for years which worked great on that headset but on the Quest3 it's unnecessary. Before the AMVR released I tried multiple cushions (including the Oddyssey) but it's just way too small to work on Q3. The AMVR v3 or any of these interfaces get an even better result, not to mention it saves a lot of time, hassle and maintenance.

I tried the globular cluster, meta Silikon and the amvr v3. Actually the stock quest 3 one is not to bad for me. But amvr is the best of the lot.. It's sad, that vrcover is not really in the Game anymore

The stock interface was the worst I've ever used across every headset, it's very rough and narrow, plus the nose gap is huge. I've never tried VRcover but haven't had any reason to as these have all worked great for me.

Tried the newest AMVR and didn’t like it. The eye distance knobs didn’t really work that great and I have no glasses and want it on the closest setting anyway. Wouldn’t ever use it more than once. It was also too wide for my head and I had alot of light leak from the sides. Right now I have the KKCOBVR K3. I didn’t like the stock pad, so I grabbed a pad from my old VR Cover headset. It works and blocks all light, and the fan is great, but I’m starting to notice pressure on my sinuses. It may also be the ANNAPRO A3 halo strap causing the pressure. It’s an awful headstrap all around and the battery has been a disaster, constant disconnects and the Quest 3 says the power delivery is wrong. I’m returning that and trying both Globulus cluster offerings, halo strap and facial interface. I hope the combination is a winner. Being able to take off the interface easily will be an amazing feature for AR and to keep the headset and interface clean. Hopefully it works well!

How effective is the KKCOBVR K3 fan? I've heard the Bobo S3 pro fan is terrible, so I'm a bit reluctant to try the K3 and worry they'd add unnecessary weight (I try to keep my headset as light as possible). I also received the Annapro A3 halo which was one of the worst I've ever used, in fact it was the first time I decided not to review. The problem is the side panels prevent it from sliding forward so the halo is way too far back which prevents you from getting close to the headset and reduces FOV. I explained everything but they never replied. It's a shame because their Elite strap was the best I ever tried, so it's a shame they dropped the ball with their halo. You'll be very happy with the Globular Cluster CMQ3 though, that is the best I've ever use. I was disappointed their facial interface wasn't quite comfortable as they put a lot of attention to detail in the F3, it's still great though but I still prefer the AMVR Q3FC3.

⁠​⁠@@VerociityKKCOBVR fan is actually pretty great. I only use it for maybe 30 seconds at a clip though b/c if you leave it on continuously your eyes can get really dry. It’s great otherwise. I liked it better than the AMVR but want to see how it feels with the GC halo strap before I commit. I just wish VR cover would come out with their Q3 facial interface already

Not impressed with the AMVR V3, it doesn't fit small faces very well, leading to light leakage from the sides and the removable padding is too long to properly fit on the interface itself, causing it to bunch up and create outward facing folds that leave lines on your forehead which take a while to go away. If they could just make the padding the proper length, thickness and shape, then neither of what I mentioned would be a problem.

Their Q2 interface came with additional side cushions for those who had this problem, maybe you could do something similar with this, but for me it's been a perfect fit. The padding is also a bit creased for me too but it's been a minor problem, however I've asked them about this so hopefully they can create a proper fit because it can be annoying.
