The Best rabbit hutch in the world - Updates

well seen as the last rabbit hutch video was received so well. I figured I Owed you all an update on what's working and what's not. There is plenty of both, I also installed a water system , mostly as a time saver. I also take a quick look at the rabbit tractors from last month.

I just got into rabbits, so im looking for ideas for my build, im building my hutches above my compost bins, this way i don't have to move any bins, im also using metal for my build. I believe you made a mistake buying plastic waterers, they come in brass, will last longer if they are metal, the more videos i watch the less mistakes ill make, im also designing a removable floor for easy maintenance.

I agree on the brass waters, and compost pile. It's funny we spend months researching and planning, and as soon as the first rabbit moves in. We start to spot the things we would do differently. There is another video about all the mistakes I made when building and designing this rabbitry that you might find useful.

@deervalleyhomestead Thanks will check it out, I did a year of research before building my chicken coop, nobody had a hurricane proof chicken coop on KZbin, so I watched a bunch of videos until I had a design I was happy with, it took me about 10 months to build the hen house structure, but I'm happy with what I got, I call it the chicken bunker lol

Catch the rain water off the roof into a barrel, then gravity feed them.

There's an update video out that covers the new water system and nipple drinkers. Not to mention a lot of other mistakes I made. It's sadly not filled from the roof yet. It's in the plan for the future though 🤞

Should have a box built in for rabbits to hide in from wind and rain

Hmm that's strange , they each have a wooden tunnel. I must have taken them out for some reason that day. For the winter they will have a much bigger roof and the doors will be half blocked off. I am also thinking about moving the hutch to a location with much less wind.
