2:25 I believe you can fix this easily by checking the box in options that says "Don't auto-equip melee" under controls > equipment. Then, even if you start with your knife by accident, you should still come out with your primary.

Imo, if you try to play Neon or Jett, it is better to not use that option and get disciplined with picking the right weapon beforehand . Relying on it will basically abolish any attempts of playing aggressively with shorty on these agents (Also on Raze post-ult, but the occasions where you might need shorty in this scenario are super rare)

@@ROB1N2401 it doesnt pull the primary weapon btw it only opens the last used one...although you can change this to strongest in option that way it will pull out the primary or ult...but if u only tick the Don't auto-equip melee then it will only equip the last used weapon.

There's only been one instance where a backwards slide was useful: being caught off guard by an enemy camping in a corner. Like that one deep corner by the heaven rope on Split Site B. It's really just a flex move, but can be a safer slide option if you get caught with your hands empty, especially if you dip behind cover while doing so.

One thing that can be useful is if you run close in front of an enemy, and then dash back to destroy their aim. Idk its sometimes useful

To all my fellow low rank neons, don't forgot the potential of a slide shorty combo. Eco rounds means you get either a free gun or are guaranteed to get traded off (with decent team) and on pistol rounds that means you get armour and a free upgrade

For the first tip there’s actually a setting in game that lets you pull out your strongest gun when you use an ability automatically “in general”

I've been playing Neon since she came out and have completely completed her contract. I know her abilities pretty well but I still look at so many Neon videos on how to play her just to see if someone does something that I didn't know you could do with her. After this video I think at this point the only thing I need to do is figure out how to use guns better. You can only get so good at Neon until the rest is reliant on how good you are at guns

my play style on Neon is when defending I will play aggressive on the first few rounds then passive on the next when attacking I ALWAYS watch the flank I'll entry for a couple of times as because if you get a picked on a lurker you can immediately regroup on your team using your sprint

yea you want to only do a fast flank if you know the enemy is 5 man hitting a site
