I love what Pandaemonium did for Elidibus. In 5.3, the WoL confronted him with the fact that his fight, his mission, no longer has meaning. And now, as Themis, he realizes that every agonizing moment was worthwhile, that the meaningless still had meaning in the end. Damn you FF14, how dare you to toy with our hearts like that!

I was so glad to learn that his soul was put back into the cycle. Ever since 6.0 I'd been worried that he exhausted all of his essence and soul within the Crystal Tower and wouldn't be able to return. I'm glad to get closure for a lot of things in this raid story, but that one is chief among them.

I like to think that the "soul" Venat was holding (in the poster at the ending of the FFXIV official Flow video)... was Elidibus'. Considering at that time Venat /was/ still alive, so she probably also guided his soul to the Lifestream.

My perception is that while Aether can be expended, it's never truly lost, just passing into a different form (or place, ie, the aetherial sea). Else, the world should never have recovered after the fifth(?) umbral calamity (or whichever was the mage war)

One of the last unresolved plot threads from ARR and they finally came back and explained it while also serving as a wrap up for EW as a whole. Loved this tier. Especially the music.

I was hoping for this video so much. You saw so much in Elidibus' story and I knew you needed to see the lovely, neat bow they put on that story. The first thing I did when I finished Pandaemonium was message my partner and say 'I hope Terra plays that and I hope it ends up on KZbin', so thanks for making my day.

Its a small detail, but i love that compared how he speaks throughout our time with him in modern times, themis has this really subtle but still noticeable soft tonality to his voice.

As a fun fact, in japanese script Athena mentions that Elidibus' soul was so incredibly damaged and full of holes after all what happened to him that it was outright impossible to use... She employs the memories of Erich and Lahabrea essentially to patch it up and bring him forth. There is a certain irony that perhaps the one reason Elidibus' soul may be able to reincarnate at all, despite everything, is Athena's meddling fixing it just enough. For reference, this is what she says (after P9): それと・・・あとから、もうひとり案内人を寄越しましょう。 手に入れた魂が「穴だらけ」で使えないかと思っていたけれど、 今見つけた記憶で、少しは修理できそうだわ・・・。 "And... I'll send another guide your way later on. I thought that the soul I got was too full of holes to be used, but with the memories I've just gotten, i may be able to fix it a bit..." That's also why Elidibus remembers clearly anything Pandaemonium but is hazy on everything else. Erich and Lahabrea's memories of Pandaemonium helped him recover his own.

@@WalkerRileyMC given I played it in English first (and then checked the JP edition), the English version slightly alludes to it but in a way that can be construed in an entirely different way and omits some of the bigger lore bits. The Japanese version is 100% explicit.

ARR begins with Lahabrea at the end of his story, a cackling villain, barely sane, wishing only to bring about your world's destruction. Endwalker ends with a memory of Lahabrea at the beginning of his story, a cold, yet fiercely idealistic man, who dedicates himself to preserving your world without hesitation, who learns the horrible truth of what his real self became, and makes peace with it. Fucking poetry, man.

I mean, my only real issue with anything post Endwalker is....where is the challenge? We defeated an eldritch being at the edge of the universe. We've killed gods....ALL the gods. Athena's line of reaching 'the seat of godhood' to us is "oh...it's Tuesday already?" Something to consider, also....Themis absolutely adores Azem....idolizes him, really. The chance to go on an adventure of any kind, even just a shard of Azem, would have been one of his happiest memories to bring to the Aetherial Sea.

Lahabrea's One Sin was truly falling in love with the wrong woman. The man he turned out by ARR probably wouldn't be there if he hadn't gotten involved with her and gradually driven mad by his unability to let go of that love fully.

Athena probably was nowhere near as bad as what she turned into. Much of it is because of the Black Auracite.... and the dufus's have decided to STUDY it. This is legit like the one ring; it drove Athena Insane with desires to become Ultima the High Seraph, it drove Lahabrea insane wanting to resurrect his god and slowly corrupted both sides of him, and it will be coming back to bring madness and sorrow to Claudien and Crew, you can mark my words on it.

For this set of raids I don't know, the warped music makes sense since things are twisted, but idk, it didn't felt as good. as "scream" (9 and 10) 11th idk, it is goos but the song didn't distract me from figthing, lol. 12th circle is the same song as 9-10th just not warped.
