Many thanks for this research it has been very useful!! So my MO now with my 10.2 Ice SnS +5 Ice Attk is either: Solo, 5 & just cycle thru locking on & breaking as many horns/ forearms you can. 6 or 7 stars hit the horns with SP from the get go, if something breaks tap to un- lock on & tap another part to lock on to something else (even during the SP chain of slashes). HAT 8* with 4 other randoms fire off the SP from the get go on the horns then roll around to the tail because by then its starting to enraged & can spam slash the tail especially at it chases other hunters and quite soon breaks & is calms down, roll around to the front to spam hit fore legs/ horns. 8* solo I'm avoiding I get beaten up too much but I think the key is after your initial SP is to avoid the several waves of enraged attacks until there's a lull then go after the tail hard the roll-out to the front

Funny, I found Magnamalo to be a lot harder than Rajang 😅
@JanusHoWАй бұрын
That's because Magnamalo's moveset was copy-pasted from Rise, which uses Wirebugs as a means to escape attacks. For example, without Wirebugs there's no way to escape that one attack that launches you into the air before following up with an explosion , so you're guaranteed to take both hits. Meanwhile, Rajang has a significant number of easily breakable body parts, and gets knocked down after every break except for its tail.
@leof9314Ай бұрын
@@JanusHoW hey, One appreciate the challenge. we have to wait and see if the game keeps evolving.
@KINGOFCHARMANDERSАй бұрын
For sure it is. It was easier to dodge in rise, but as long as you get the patterns down you should be ok ish lol
@erich5925Ай бұрын
I'm in the same boat, but as a melee main if he roars and rng says "hey you're in the cloud" it's impossible to dodge, at least from my experience, it sucks but is easy to beat with mizutsune, break arm, arm, head never has the chance to attack (7* with 9-2 weapon)

When ever I fight rajang in mh now I use the hammer to quickly break one of it's horns and cause as much damage as possible while he on the floor to have him fall over again and do a combo move on him in which let me kill it in less that 15 seconds
@KINGOFCHARMANDERSАй бұрын
That’s true if you’re not going to break the tail. But you should go for the tail as much as possible for the R6 if you can.

Thanks for Guide! whats your Kushala Bow Set currently? Thanks btw. it took me over 100 G8 Rajangs to get my second R6 drop from him....

Off topic, but are any HBGs good? I wanted to switch to them but they seem weak and clunky. The deviljoe HBG seems to have a decent ammo set, but idk if any are worth it.
@KINGOFCHARMANDERSАй бұрын
They do heavy damage. But their slow movement and reload isn’t worth the hassle.
@Darnelj1Ай бұрын
@@KINGOFCHARMANDERS should I just stick to my LBGs then... Not waste the materials in HBG? I waited so long for my favorite weapon and they made it garbage 😭
@KINGOFCHARMANDERSАй бұрын
I totally feel you on that I thought strafe firing or sniper mode would be a thing and they just turned it into trash 😫 Based on a lot of content I’ve seen from the Japanese player base the elemental ones can be really powerful. But thats only if you can take out the monster early. In a long drawn out battle LBGs and bows are king and can reposition faster. HBGs can’t reposition quickly since their dodging is so slow so you can’t really take advantage of critical range 🪦 Any experienced Ranged main like yourself can tell it’s clunky and not worth really investing into. Especially if you already have an LBG or Bow built 😭

Great guide! I’m a new player and bow user. I find it hard to dodge twice when holding a charge, and I can’t do damage unless I’m charging. Any tips? 😅
@KINGOFCHARMANDERSАй бұрын
Welcome to the game! Well to be fair I am using the strongest ice bow in the game maxed out 😅. If your brand new go for focus 5 as fast as you can and watch this bow guide below. The range got nerfed, but otherwise it’s mostly accurate. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWOmcmmPlL-lj6csi=LEt4ufG75wtprGFN

@@KINGOFCHARMANDERS i have watced that video! But do you have any tips on how to play against Rajang and do the double dodges while still charging? 🙂
@KINGOFCHARMANDERSАй бұрын
You can't do what I'm doing unless its with a Black Diablos Bow or Kushala Bow. These weapons do Damage Lv. 4 at Charge Lv. 3 so I can one blink and then charge sidestep for max damage. For most other bows you need to do 3 blinks to get to charge lvl 4. If your pretty new focus more on getting Focus Lv. 5 (Pukei Helm, Pukei Body, Rathalos waist, and Jyuratodus Greaves at Grade 6). That armor set is more important because you won't charge the fastest without it. Rajang is only a must for those who can Grade 8 its gear. If you are taking it on its going to be rough without Focus 5 so I would ignore it for the most part.
@LulleficationАй бұрын
@@KINGOFCHARMANDERS ok thanks. I only have focus 3 now. I can charge 3 times, dodge, and shoot Rajang. But after that there is a delay so that I can’t dodge again, and I always get hit 😔
@acmenegymilis8522Ай бұрын
I found Rajang fairly easy, with Aknosom being the easiest. However I can't beat the 9* Aknosom at the beginning of the story, the 8* is so easy I can't figure out what the 9* is doing differently. So an Aknosom guide would be useful.
@KINGOFCHARMANDERSАй бұрын
I’ll likely do an Aknosom one in the future after Magnamalo.

@@KINGOFCHARMANDERS yeah I remember seeing one of your videos talking about you getting it to 10.5. I just recently got my legiana bow to grade 9. Don’t get out to hunt much for kushalas bow

All good! Legi works as well for sure. Once you break one of rajangs parts it’s pretty much a wrap unless you want to break the tail 😅
@Protoman4509Ай бұрын
This video did help me out though. I know from other monster hunter games that you need to hit his tail to cancel the enrage but I wasn’t aware the tail break is what gives the chance for the pelt so I make sure to focus the tail more now, so with that being said, thank you

Even tho it’s “temporary” genuinely question the decision to remove khezu then make rajang require monster parts from khezu, I’m stuck at grade 6 while having enough parts for grade 8 but can’t due to selling khezu material to make space in storage
@KINGOFCHARMANDERSАй бұрын
That’s a great point! I just hoarded a bunch of khezu mats and just fired away so I never noticed.

@@KINGOFCHARMANDERS yeah hindsight would of been great as I never was interested in any of the equipment from khezu so binned away but any new players joining from here on in won’t be able to either until it returns

Their super close to each other. Aknosom is BARELY better so if you invested in Anjanath then you can use that one just fine.
