Idlewild is one of my favorite movies of all time and Ive seen it many times, but my favorite scene in the movie is the chronomentraphobia scene. First time I heard that song in the movie I was like “man this is a BANGER, hopefully they turn it into a real song” and then hearing it on the soundtrack made me damn near do a backflip lol

Fire video, had lot of fun watching this. I really love OutKasts music like no joke, I have almost their whole discography on CD (only missing Idlewild rn) and for 2 years in a row (I think '21 and '22) I had them as my most listened to artists on spotify. They're not flawless but they have so many songs I love. And for that reason its really tough for me to choose my faves because I'll end up naming too many but I wanna highlight In Due Time. A song that was on the Soul Food movie soundtrack and it's almost like a Git Up, Git Out part 2 imo (especially Cee-Lo's parts) and its one of my most favs songs from them. Love the vibes on that one

It’s really cool how subjective music can be. A lot the songs in your decent and fire tier have always been on my worse list. I’ve been skipping songs like Chonkyfire, War and Xplosion for the last 15 years lol. You’ve actually made me want to go back and give a few of these songs a better listen though. Right, no music is "good" or "bad". It's too subjective. Saying a song is bad (vs not liking it personally) is like saying someone's feelings about art are invalid. I still like hearing different takes on music though

If you like Bombs over Baghdad then you’ll probably like Neck uv da Wood. It’s a Mystikal track featuring Outkast. It’s probably the most underrated Outkast track of all time.
