I have this car. This is the one I got last Christmas on sale. Came with two batteries only 87 bucks. I couldn’t pass it up. This thing also comes with an aluminum skid plate that covers the entire undercarriage. Sweet ride, fast and durable. Gotta get my DJI cam setup on this thing. Did I mention it’s fast 😂👍🏻

So, it’s not making it around the block with the stock radio and receiver. I have gotten it to the end of my block with no problem (about 75 yards). I am trying to get that video out asap. Hopefully in a week or so 🤙

Yes, but it is taking a while for me to get the right place to do it. The system is all built but my area turned out to be swamped in RF noise on the 1.3ghz band, so the results kinda look like trash. I know this system can reach out over a mile in the right place so I’m trying to film that when I can 🤙

I’m thinking about getting a traxxas latrax teton and making it fpv but I have little knowledge on how to do so. I don’t need it to be able to go miles away, pretty far still so it can be enjoyable though. I was wondering if there were any tips or help you could provide me with how to do so

For sure! Here is a video I made with a bunch of tips - kzbin.info/www/bejne/nIfdepR6brlkp7c But here are some written out that a lot of people miss- A normal FPV system will use 5.8ghz (a frequency) and you want a decent “video transmitter” (one that does about 800mw). Next you want a tall antenna on the car (the higher the antenna, the better signal you’ll get in most cases). You want to power the video transmitter off of a separate battery than what the car is using. The video receiver may have a screen built in or some use goggles. If the receiver can use two antennas (called ‘diversity’) it’s better. Use one directional and one “omnidirectional” antenna for best results. You could choose to use the DJI video system, but now you’re in $1000. The last little advice is- Traxxas remotes have terrible range. I hear Dumbo RC or RadioLink have much better range remotes but I’m not sure how they’ll work with your car. I made a video on my controller system, but it’s super overkill, like all the other stuff hahah. Good luck man 🤙

I just have the problem that once I buy all of it I don’t know how to wire it all up to a separate battery.. it is a lot of help so I completely understand if you don’t have the time to get to this request.

@@jobe3899 I think you can send links via the comment section on my videos. I never turned off that option. I don’t have a business email at the moment but I should set one up. The wiring is pretty simple though, Velcro a 2nd battery near the video transmitter and use that to power it up. The camera gets power from the video transmitter, so that’s easy. The screen/video receiver are totally separate so there isn’t much info needed there either. Let me know if you’re still having some doubts tho
