what kind of mods to the chassis did you have to do to get the 4runner body to work? do the stock wheels fit?

no chassis mods, Using the stock front mounting and the rear body post are the ones included in the box. I removed the inner shock springs to get full flex since I turned this into more of a trail rig.

stock mounts included in the box for the rear and I'm utilizing the stock front mount system from the stock body.

Thats nice bro good choice 👌 i got a traction hobby ford raptor about a month ago and its insane...its not a comp crawler but idk if i ever seen a rc look so real crawling i have a couple vids up of it on my channel if anyone wants to check it out but lots of guys around here have gotten this redcat and do crazy lines in the same terrain i crawl on ..💪 with that 4 runner its beast you will love it im sure

So glad to see the 4runner body fitting on there. Adding that to my tiny list of upgrades for it Out of curiosity, why did you change it to 0% overdrive? I know a lot of people prefer the front overdrive, but I don't know the drawbacks personally

I do a lot of trail walking with my crawlers so I went 0% to save my driveline from extra wear. Due to the front to rear gear difference this will cause extra load (faster battery drain, tire wear and gear wear). The Fusion is definitely setup to tackle some crazy stuff on a course setup where your not driving flat sections till the next obstacle.

Would the wpl jimny body fit on that chassis?

unfortunately not. The Jimny is a 10th scale but the "10th" scale class chassis are bigger.

Facebook groups I've been checkin out say the suspension geo is wrong and what not. I know nothing about it just know I like the way it runs so I run it! probably the comp guys not liking a more affordable rig that performs pretty good and brushless out the box.

These folks get their panties all bunched up when the supposed cheap company knocks it completely out of the park! and for a 3rd of the price they spent building their custom rig. I own several comp rigs, I can say with confidence. redcat got the geometry spot on with the fusion!!

I don’t need you to tell me to be respectful, redcat ascent should have been your last pick compared to your other picks come on man I guess if you’re getting paid to drive it you will say anything whatever floats your boat people just do your research on these things. Check for quality red cat plastics are not very good. Just one thing to think about.

I purchased this with my own money. I wish I was sent stuff from the bigger companies to review. I'm too honest and even the Chinese companies wont send me anything for free lately. I refuse to review items from a company that wants me to say certain things about the product. I will always say what I want and run the RCs I want. I like my Fusion so far and if you watched my video mine has been turned into a trail truck(downgraded) and man is it good. Runs great, looks great and carbon chassis with a brushless system. Thing is ready for action. I dont take RCs too serious (I mean they are toys), I do take RCing serious. Just as long as it works for me I'll run it. I will be buying one of the others I mentioned soon and maybe have all of them in the future! Not all youtube creators get sent stuff and get paid to say things about a product. I don't care about selling stuff to people I only show my experience and leave it up to you to decide. I have buddies that love the gen 7, 8 and 9s and have been great for them so I wanted a redcat to try. Stay safe out there and RC on!
