I’m super curious about mlb history related to the 3rd overall pick all-time. The most I could find was Evan Longoria taken 3rd. I think it would be a fun episode to reflect on the upcoming draft and also harry ford and other prospects that are scheduled to make their debut this season

I would argue this one point on the Yoshida/Haniger swap, while yes it’s not great for Boston this year, it does free them from the other 2 years of the contract because Haniger is done after this year. So it still benefits Boston in 2025/2026.

Mariners are a reflection of the owner. Its becoming comical just what great lengths they go through to save money. Stanton probably picks up nickels off the ground. He cant afford to compete for a world series so why not take a partner or sell the team. Seattle isnt satisfied with fielding an 87 win team. We sre the only team not to play in a world series and we have been to the playoffs once in 20 years as a wildcatd team. Get used to it. Owners arent concearned with winning s world series. If we fall into 1 great but they are not gonna make real competative moves to get there

Ford's value all seems to be locked in as a catcher. I think there is more value in trading him as a catching prospect than believed. Headliner in the Crochet trade as an example ( I know Teel is a much higher rated prospect).

For the mariners. Trade for mccarthy, delcastillo and groover from arizona. Trade for pasquantino and javier vaz from kc. Bring up young, brandyn garcia and williamson. Play bliss, vaz or young at 2nd. Resign rojas at 3rd for the year.
