Hi Kirk, I'm a fellow spread like yourself 😉 don't think your too far from me either as I noticed your skip provider is local to me too. Watched loads of your videos and always impressed with your knowledge skills and professionalism....Infront of the camera anyway 🤣😂. Your bang on with what you say about different characteristics with the different render manufactures. I also hand apply my render as a pose to spray, so pick my jobs to suit this. Only ever used k-rend/parex/VPI never used eco-rend before but after watching this vid, I'll give it a go. Keep up the good work 💪

So your profession? Honestly, PPE is relevant, using a grinder, wear Eye protection, good gloves and respiratory device suitable for particle size, standing on a scaffold prepping and plastering..I see no need for PPE there except maybe gloves as Dermatitis is a thing, it's a personal choice though, that's what you get when you are your own boss. And let me just say, this guy is the BOSS when it comes to what he does.

Hi I’ve got a couple of questions firstly I’ve not done any of this bagged render I’ve only done sand and cement which i don’t bother with now but wouldn’t mind a go at this. Not having done any is it a fine line between leaving it too proud for rubbing back and getting it just right? And I’ve heard it can be hassle lots of sheeting down and you can be waiting around for ages waiting to rub it up depending on the time of year, what’s your view?

My dad always bought extra material too. Better to be safe then drop everything for a few bits here and there. The suppliers loved him for this, always giving us shit for bringing back returns. One supplier stopped doing returns altogether, for everybody! We pretty much dropped that supplier from then on, only going back when we needed a specific colour match

I watch you and Blaine from plastering for beginners and I've learned a lot from you pair sharing your knowledge/ talents and I thank you both for that. My question I have for you is this.. I'm base coating my house with HP12. Now I'm putting on a thin coat first and building it up to 12mm . My problem is ruling off. I'm finding the hp12 is being dragged off with my feather edge like it's sticking. I'm constantly washing down the feather edge to keep it as wet as possible as this is the only way I can stop the dragging. I'm ruling no more than 6 foot height at a time and the 4 foot width of the feather edge. Is this my doing our is hp12 the issue?? I'm a complete novice at this..

I used this a couple of years ago and it's a very good product. It does have an achilles heal!! It's very hard to find a stockist that holds many of the colours, and so you have to get it delivered. If you're slightly short or have to re-do a bit for any reason, you cant just pop down the rd and get a couple of bags, the supplier will charge you a woping £60 delivery and they don't really like splitting a pallet either (50 bags). I had to drive to Essex to pick couple of bags up off of Facebook marketplace in the end and won't use this stuff again.

I've recently rendered 2 extensions I had built. Never rendered before but had to take the job on myself because the builder did a runner on us. I'd been following a renderer on insta for a while and he'd always used PRB. So I took a liking to it and had some specs done by a rep. But the cost was too high. I ended up asking if I could use sc grit as a base and top (which I could) and then sponge finished it. Really enjoyed doing it and was really impressed with it 💪
