The reason it works on a Gibson (that Gibson) is because that's an OLD Gibson, pre-Humbucker. Those are old single-coil P-90 pickups that predate the double-coil Humbuckers. So that's why it sounds more like a Fender Stratocaster, which of course has always had single-coil pickups. Old Gibson Les Paul's also have the P-90 pickup. They're rare and collectors pay a lot for them.

@@rhmayer1 😂 good spot, I had to rewatch to notice the p-90s. Not that I would tell anyone they cant play sultans on any guitar, use an Ibanez rg for all I care. Who says an SG can't sound like a Strat? Stunning musicianship from both, excellent vocals, and I'm loving that guitar vibrato and those bends are superb. Well done Gat Brothers! Mark would approve ;)

I'll admit, I was skeptical going into this. Skeptical as to the title's claim that is. This video just showed up in my feed, waaaaaay over here in NE Oklahoma, USA Cherokee Open Reservation. I too am a musician and learned this song way back when. HOWEVER......THIS REALLY IS........*THE BEST* Thank You and GOD Bless. Thank YOU, to the person who went back 4 yrs later and "did it right" lol. You sure did! Most Excellent :)
