just letting people know, that as a owner of this 3d printer I thought mine came calibrated but i couldn't figure out why things were failing, and it turned out that my build plate wasn't level, so do check this is important and will save you stress. It now prints like a dream

This is the second review I have seen of this 3d printer in two days! I truly like the vat heater, and the easy access to carbon filtration, but is it worth spending that much? For me, no. I have great success with my Elegoo Mars 2 Pro, and am super comfortable with it, but have been wanting to upgrade to a larger build plate with more height. Elegoo's customer service cannot be beat, so I am finding the Saturn 3 extremely tempting! I am happy you found the right printer for your situation!

Yeah Elegoo is an option. For me personally, it didn't print nearly as consistently as the Uniformation! 👍😅

@@DevsDice Ya you have to print in an environment that you can control the temperature in to get any consistency. That printer solves that problem in the easiest way but that price just hurts.

I know exactly what you mean about the emotional roller coaster regarding 3D printing. My current machine (Photon M3) has been such a coin toss to work consistently and I don’t have the mindset to troubleshoot every possible cause for the fails. My first machine the Longer Orange 30 was great until it became a money sink to try and repair it/replace parts. If this Uniformation unit is that good I’m tempted to look into it if my finances ever improve. I want to feel excited about resin printing again.

Yeah exactly VikingFyre! There are so many things that went wrong with my two Elegoo machines and finding an answer rarely simple. So far the Uniformation has printed flawlessly so I am stoked! 👍😅

Of course you can Bryantyong! The benefit with the washing station is that it fits the entire print bed but technically you could use any way of cleaning and curing your prints! 👍😊

I know you said it does not smell, but is there a way to adapt this printer for outside venting instead of relying on just the filter? Like the Elegoo 3 for example, it has a port on the back that you can use if you wish to rig a vent hose.

There's nothing built into the printer, but you can look up grow boxes (or something similar). Just a big standing bag with an air port

Excellent question OtterChaos! Unfortunately I cannot really answer that since I usually build my own terrain and use resin prints for embellishments and such. But if I had my mind set on printing resin terrain then I would look at what I needed at my table more than anything. Hope that sort of gives you an indication at least! 👍😅

i am in the printing business for 5 years now. I do print industrial stuff not so much little figures. When i have to for my kids e.g. i do print grogos ... But for industrial stuff it is important that the Printer has a well build Z-Axis (2 rails with ballscrew spindle if possible), to avoid Z-wobble. i do get here and there horizontal lines on clean surfaces that are not layer lines. The heated bed is good for rooms that dont have constant temperature, but i would rather heat the air around the vat rather than the bed wich is anyway heated by the light source. I just bought the elegoo saturn3 ultra. It has all this features but the heating possibility. for the winter i will install a heating system myself. I paid 480Euros compared to 900 Dollars plus the elegoo has the better x-y- resolution. I think this is a good printer but you can get more bang for the buck

Well the whole point of the video sort of. For me the two Elegoo printers I have had has been very uneven. The uniformation GKTWO has so far performed consistently. Dependable. My channel is my hobby, I have a full-time employment that pays my bills and provides for my family. That is exactly the way I want to keep it.
