The Best Restaurant in The Abacos | Treasure Cay and Elbow Cay

On todays adventure Meli and take the SeaVee 340B over to Harbour View Marina in Marsh Harbour to pick up my parents who will be staying in Treasure Cay over the weekend. After we picked them up we headed around Montage Cay and over the Elbow Cay where we grab some lunch at Abaco Inn on White Sound. White Sound is also where Sea Spray Marina is so we drove by there to check out all the custom boats in there for billfish season. After eating we headed straight back to Treasure Cay to drop my parents off before Meli and I headed over to Great Guana Cay to drop the 340 SeaVee off at my clients house. My friend Jake from ‪@Morgiepb‬ came and picked is up on his Eduardono panga and that just just about finished out day out. I appreciate yall watching and supporting the channel!

I have to ask, do ya'll know someone who owns one of the BBC condos and lets you stay in them for a reasonable price? lol I've been going down to Treasure Cay with my family since the 90's and they've always been insanely priced. I'm in my 30's now and when we head down we just stay in the villas or another house that's a good 1/3rd of the price of BBC.

Haha I have to admit that my grandmother owns a unit there that she is gracious enough to let Meli and I use when we want. It definitely is pricey there though.

Hi Nick & Mellie, LOVE your videos, and appreciated the lifeline you provided to us in the aftermath of Dorian when we were desperate to find ANY info about Treasure, the people on the island and recovery. Treasure holds a special place in my heart, since 1974 when my father flew our family down in our little Cessna. @@NickOlindeNick I realize this is not an economics channel but how do you see shotgun shacks 500 feet from $$$$ mansions on Harbour Island? How do regular people afford to exist on the Island? Thanks

@@jimlarkin7859 it is outrageous. Because of the popularity of that place the locals are literally getting priced out of their own market. It is crazy. In the last 4-5 years the prices have really shot through the roof, much like all other luxury goods.

@@NickOlindeNick based on your family’s decades of experience In Bahamas would you expect real estate downturn there if we see one in USA? Ie Does Bakers Bay, Harbour Island take a hit or just stay same.. Thanks

@@jimlarkin7859 For the most part their real estate market pretty much mirrors ours with the exception of those super high end islands that you mentioned. The people who buy on Bakers or Harbour Island will always have their money and will always want their getaway. As whole a lot of the land/house buyers in the islands can afford it with whatever happens, within reason, but it definitely does tick with the US market excluding the islands mentioned.
