Really enjoyed the history behind this attractive watch and the detailed description.

This size is perfect on your wrist, I can't even imagine the 36mm version on you. Good reminder about this original model from Timefactors! ... I think these can be found at a good value price now on the usual marketplaces. Most of the Explorer homages I can think of are the smaller size, ... the exception being this early Smiths, the MkII Vantage, and Houson Vintage. Maybe some of the San Martin. Everything else is 36mm... which is clearly not the right size for everybody!

Totally agree, 40MM is the smallest I tend to go, due to the thickness the watch wears slightly bigger in my opinion. The resale value has definitely calmed down a bit now, there are a couple for sale online.

The new Tudor released today is a contender too

After terrible experience in trying to order this one , i snagged one in 40mm and it wore terribly, even on my 19cm wrist. 22mm lugs plus terrible bracelet and super huge clasp, ended up selling it. Tried to order 36 mm, purchase window was too narrow 3 times in a row and i ended up buying Armida A6 in 36 mm with gilt hands. Never looked back. 36mm, double domed, AR sapphire, faraday cage with soft iron shield, miyota 9039 movement, 300m wr, double VITON gaskets, female endlinks, It just ticks all the boxes. Making this watch hard to get due to the nature of how purchase process works isn't cutting it for me.

I presume that as this watch has “ Great Britain “ on the watch face it is manufactured in GB . Therefore , why on earth is its water resistance level shown as 100 Meters ? It should be 100 Metres ! A meter in the UK is what you measure on a dial ( eg gas meter ) , a metre is a unit of distance. Enough to put me off the watch !

I think it's assembled in the UK, the components are probably made in China. Looking at their newer models they have now changed it to metres
