its crazy to think that the black dial stainless steel used to cost 20k, maybe a little more on the grey market, and I've just been looking at a brand new unworn 2021 model, full set for £13.7k ,which now actually makes it cheaper than retail price because Rolex now sell them for £13,850...and I also looked at various unworn 2021 full sets with the blue dial that are 15.3k..I honestly feel bad for people who paid £20-£28,000..for the exact same model, dial, year and bracelet etc. Madness.. (I'm sure I recall the blue dial selling for around 28k as it was my grail piece and I was watching it everyday, and recall thinking that when it was at 25k the price was starting to drop..) . I cant imagine how it must feel to have bought the blue or black dial for this price to then be able to get the exact same watch for 7-13k cheaper just 18 months to 2 years on. I'm actually so happy in hindsight that I hit a couple of financial snags during this time and wasn't able to buy the blue dial for these prices like I was planning to. its even sadder to think that the newest 2024 models of the blue dial version is 16k also unworn full set. I think id cry if id have got this watch 2 years ago.

I wouldn’t feel sorry for anyone that was daft enough to pay anything more than RRP and has subsequently lost money on this watch. If people stopped buying them, the flippers would no longer make any profit by instantly selling them to Grey dealers. Which means more would be available to buy directly from an AD.

I have thought that it has always been underrated, it is Rolex’s most complicated movement and that alone should hold it in higher esteem. Maybe it just comes down to the case size not working for all. Question, the one thing that I have never understood is why is the Skydweller classified by Rolex as a “Classic” watch and not Professional? The Yachtmaster is a posh Sub and that has Professional status, surely the Skydweller could be classified as a posh GMT2 but it is in the “Classic” range! Any ideas? Thank you for your content.

Hi, Yes it is such an underrated model and due to the size it has less appeal than smaller ones. Certainly not because of its stunning looks. Yes strange one but so pleased Rolex produce it. And a great achievement horology wise 🏆 Thanks for watching 👌🏻

Hi, I just set the date on my 2023 rolex sky dweller at 22:30 and then remember you are not supposed to set date during 22:00-2:00, does this damage the movement in my watch? I tested it a few rounds and the watch jumps date at around mid-night. Thanks for your answer.

Yes so the best time to set the watch is in the evening at 6:30, however doing it once or twice later on won't affect the watch too much - just don't do it all the time!

They all look ace Charlie. The 2-tone is a great bang for buck option imo. What's your thoughts on the Jubilee versions? When Rolex released it, I thought it was awful, but having tried one on, it kinda works, the Jubilee almost feels like an extension of the fluted bezel and flows really well! I need to get up and see you at some stage mate, it's a bit of a hike from the soft south ;-) but I'd love to do some business with you.

Thank you mate 🙌🏼 One million percent .. such good value for money and quite underrated. Yes the jubilee is a great watch too. They do look better in the flesh than photos and almost like a beefed up DJ41. The ones we have had in sold straight away but the market does prefer the oyster bracelet. Anytime mate just let me know and I’ll set it up … you will need an extra layer of clothes up north ! Haha We are actually moving to a new office and showroom next month so will keep you updated. I walked in the AD in Hong Kong about three weeks ago. They have the black dial two tone jubilee bracelet available and I bought it without the second thought. Absolutely great value for the money and a stunning timepiece.

You may have "Alboculus Puritymperception Disorder" (APD) that prevents people from perceiving absolute white. The dial is white.

Ready for this? The Rolex Case Last October AT My Local AD Was Smash and Grabbed "All Expedition watches" . But the thieves Missed One Piece. They Literally left the Best for ME! 326934 Blue Sky Dweller AT RETAIL! The Only Draw Back? No Papers which means the 5 Year "Same as Rolex" Warranty is through the Store. Where I live, you can by a sky dweller for 14k at the rolex store ..

Correct they are the same in the UK but you can't actually buy them.... you have to go on a waiting list for years and thats even if you are lucky enough to get on the list. Plus it is no guarantee you will get one as its only a promise you may.
