The expression on your face as you spoke about finding that elusive gold coin was telling, I also feel the same way thinking about when (not if) I find my first gold coin. In the part of the States where I live I've found numerous Spanish colonial silver cobs and reales, but no oro yet. In the meantime, like you, I enjoy the hunt and those occasional beautiful finds, even though they're not quite as old as your marvelous Roman coin and the medieval brooch. Wow wow wow what a day. Can't detect here at present as ground is just too wet and the holes fill with water. You missed the 8 rather obvious mobile horse shoes!!! ha ha but that Roman coin was just the best. All in four hours......just "bloody great" to quote you. Cheers.

That mole pasture has been rich! This time was amazing. That Roman was jaw dropping. With the shape it is in, I don't doubt that the broach was authentic. And goodness, 4 hammered on top of it all. Tasci was very regal in his pose. Pretty boy. On the home front, the weather is psycho. 80 degrees on day, 45 the next. But the signs of spring are everywhere. I am going to be digging into gardening. Well, as soon as my mouth heals. I had dental surgery and the periodontist discovered that the sinus infection that my doctor ignored for 3 years, ruined a tooth. I am feeling much better and I think he has got the infection under control if not gone. Gads....I have too much to do to have all this going on. I hope spring is showing there. I have seen that it is off and on over there also.

It's a bit bigger than your others: = 689g and 215 x 55 x 68 (mm). On the dearer side + £87 (on offer). But it's an absolute 'Mutha!' plus has 3.5mm Aux input. It's got a HUGE Battery life too!!... There's a 'Hanging Hole' for mounting, (looks a bit like a Lanyard type). But you could always Cable-Tie it to your bag... Anyways, my 2 cents is - it has a fantastic review, it's just wether you can hack the size/weight... Anyways, here goes with the link mate: 👇👇

I dissagree with your comments regarding "ignore iffy signals that could be foil etc, my intent is dig every signal, if scrap,,,foil etc, remove and discard, later going over same ground will eventually clear much of the scrap.

Its the 11" Neil and prob the best all rounder - I had the 9" for the deus 1 and hardly used it at al after I got an 11" for that too! 👍

Vladimir I am not good enough at it yet to give out my settings but i keep it very "low" I found ramping everything up, Sensitivity high and reactivity low just caused too many problems ... i like it running on half power!
