Need Help Progressing your account in the early game of OSRS? Then this video is for you! Hopefully you all enjoy it, essentially it is a summary of how I progressed my most recent old school runescape account. I went back through the first 20 episodes of the series and summarized most everything I did and gave a brief explanation as to why I did what I did. Easiest guide to build an account. Get base easy diaries and all beginner/ easy clue requirements. Get base mediums and medium clue requirements. Base hard diaries and hard/ elite clue requirements. Get base elite diaries and master clue requirements. It's basically a built in game guide.

Theory or Will Dinh’s bulwark is 4m, even if you arent the best at prayer switching it’s insane how strong it is for tanking, and if you’re taking blighted restores you can minimize your loss decently

Venenatis is pretty good. But revs I just cba. You just can’t stay long enough before ppl show up. Sure you can get out, but then you’re tele every min or so. There’s just better stuff that can be done. Mid-High lvl slayer and non wildy bosses.

People are constantly sleeping on farm runs. I trained my hunter from 17 to 80 using birdhouses. Each birdhouse run gives me 6-10 nests, which is 30-50k guaranteed, not counting the seeds (my seed vault is worth 13m). Herb runs are worth somewhere between 100-200k PER RUN, which scales with the number of patches and farming level. The average hard farming contract is worth 100k. All of these are super passive money makers, and very self sustaining. I play an iron man and haven't had to cancel a hard contract, for example. Contracts also give tons of herb seeds which is super pog. Consider that the combined value of my account is close to 130 mil, and I pretty much haven't gotten any valuable drops. I have whip, bring, and some various barrows pieces, maybe 20mil in barrows. My farming tab and seed vault combine for 80 mil value, and that's not even doing the most profitable herbs every time. In short, farm runs are absolutely absurd as a money maker, and I advise every account to get 17 hunter, bone voyage, and 35 farming (for ranarr farming) as soon as possible. You can sustain bonds with that money alone (if you do 2-3 runs a day) and each run only takes about 10-15 minutes. 10-15 minutes for 130-200k, that's 700k-1mil an hour with very low reqs, and it trains your hunter and farming, which are very tedious or expensive skills.

Warriors guild tip: I get 65/65 atk str and 45 defense and train defense the entire time to dragon defender and usually you’ll be right before, or right after 60 defense from 45. I’ve made more accounts than I’d like to admit and this is what I prefer to do to be efficient

Zerker is fundamentaly the best build to progress an account tbh, you end up with a fantastic bunch of base stats while ontop of that over half the quests are required for the build. As a zerker u can do most if not all bosses, and having an advantage on mains in ur level braket while in the wildy.

started few weeks 7 weeks ago have quite similar stats was aiming for hard diary/quest skills requirements so 70 prayer isnt a bad as it meets the hard diary, I started straight into membership and did looting made alot of money in a few hours but gets boring and your skills aren't being deveoped, after this will aim for afk combating during the day and either questing/bossing at night, then elite diary/max cape for end game. wildy can be intense especially rev caves would also recommend joining clans (pvm) as people help you out, birdhouse and tree runs. sometimes you may feel like skilling instead of flipping so you not always going to be 100% efficient. It helps if you have other things going in the background - tv,youtube other games to avoid burnout. I've progressed more in a few weeks as not experienced burnout like previous times.oh "working from home" helps out if you can lol

@@chilly2171 They've updated the slayer cave, revs cave, and added a few new tasks since your comment. Not that you could've known that then of course. I've been profiting even while cannoning and using a Viggoras chain mace the whole time. Not a ton, but if you don't exclusively cannon and consume ether it should be pretty good. At least for early slayer, I don't think bossing at Duradel can be beat for money making slayer.

@@jacobburr3570 Use a Viggora's chainmace/Craw's Bow, Slayer helm, and barrows gloves. If you want to +1 I'd say dragon defender/Avernic defender (a lot more risk if prayer drops). For your armor black d-hide, as it is cheap and offers good all-round protection with it's highest DEF bonuses being in magic, making binds/TBs less likely. Unless you have pretty much max gear the charged chainmace hits higher than a whip will by quite a bit, and hits at the same speed. This is still of course more risk than non-wildy slayer, but I've made money and the xp rates are great.

Wildy slayer is so much fun. The pking possibility really adds an intensity. And I'm terrible at pvp. But sometimes RS can be very zombie mode afk. Having something like wildy slayer and bossing is a completely different gaming experience. But that's what makes RS fun. It's got a play style for everyone

I mined a shit ton to make my first bucket of gold, then pushed to do ardougne hard diaries/full rogue in order to be able to pickpocket master farmers at higher success rates and double loot, then started doing nature runes. Ive now saved up enough and leveled enough combat to really start knocking out quests. I am now currently trying to finish up dragon slayer 2.

My account is sitting at around 79ATK, 75DEF, 85STR, 84HP 82RAN, 78MAG, 62SLAY with the rest of my skills around 50s 60s and 70s and my quest points around 200+. Before I even watch this episode, rush cannon/dorgeshuun - do wilderness slayer, switch to craw bow, power slay wildy slayer to 69 slayer end with ~80 ranged, do fire cape/torso/bgloves with blowpipe Put the account in nmz for a few months if it’s an alt, do more slayer with thousands of points/slayer helm/all unlocks if you’re going 126 and want 99 slayer If it’s your only account, do 90-99 ranged switching between revs protection and venenatis, buy rigour/83 con and end with 200-300m+ and then buy max melee or raids bis and boss or whatever it is you do

Imo spend your money on a good poh lvl 84 if you afford and rebuild from there. A simple barrows tele in your nexus portal with an ornate pool, means you can do barrows runs with 0 supplies cost.

I'm probably handicaped then. I did all the free skills to like 30ish. The moment I got member I did some combat stuff and early slayer. I then found out that cooked lobsters were a 2g profit over raw. So I got 99 cooking. At 85 I swapped to sharks with gloves and that "new" kitchen for another 1-2% non-burn rate. There were inventories with 0 burns and sometimes 5. I then did fletching to 99 with the moneymaking methods. The problem was All my money got stuck in useless unstrung bows. So I did some slayer as a mage just bolting crap into oblivion with home made runecrafted runes. Then when I could high alch I made more money on the fletching crap untill 85 for magic longbows. I got my magic to 89 in the process too of getting 99 fletch. I then decided. My account is bear themed. I want a hunting cape. So I did all the generic hunting stuff till 80. I then did herbiboar to 99. Got my herbalism to 79 in the process. I guess I'm one of those focus on 1 thing type of guys and just goes for it.

Framed's ways to build accs is far better, min-maxing time to xp early-game trought quests assap while opening NMZ is a deal breaker, but no noobie will really play like that :V

Yeah in theory you should bust out a 99 for profit like hunter or runecrafting and use that money to fund the rest of your account, whilst doing a ton of flipping at the same time, but that isn't realistic for most, I was going for a more holistic efficient approach

That whole concept is the reason I'm playing iron man, the idea that you can only focus on gp/h rather than actually playing the game is a huge turn off, which caused me to quit a few years ago. Train one skills for 300 hours then buy all the other ones or else you're an iNeFfIcIeNt NoOb

As long as you get your other skills up enough to where you can do the most efficient methods. You never wanna do 90-99 in any skill without doing the fastest method.

@@MeBloxboy305 spend all the cash you have getting your stats as high as possible then rebuild. Rinse and repeat until you have access to decent pvm content like zulrah, vorkath raids 1 or higher level slayer is always reliable

The stats are screenshots of where my stats are by the end of the episode, the clips are from during the episode, so they wont always line up :)
