I loved Persona 3 Reload and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. They made my year. Finished Metaphor ReFantazio this week and it was an awesome experience.

Was finally able to pickup a physical copy of Visions of Mana for just $40 over the holidays & I've been really enjoying this charming JRPG.. definitely a sleeper hit 🔥

Aside from Shadow of the Erdtree (which is just a DLC), the only RPG I've actually played from this year so far is Ys X: Nordics, although it did release in Japan in 2023. It's definitely another solid entry in the franchise and is currently my fourth favorite behind The Oath in Felghana, Origin, and Lacrimosa of Dana.

I would add Dragon Quest 3 2D-HD Remake on the listed. A faithful remake to an beloved classic from the NES; which have gotten remakes before from Super Famicom/Super NES, Game Boy Color & an mobile version. So this is there 4th remake. But I think this might be the best version to play the game now. Not only for being faithful to the series, but they added a new job, features and other content that is brought into the modern hardware and it's as good as it ever was. Hopefully Dragon Quest 1 & 2 2D-HD Remake gets the same treatment.

I love your videos but could you make a video about the best linear games to play (especially underrated ones not uncharted, dark souls, etc. despite being great) ? I’m so tired of these long 60-hour games like metaphor especially after Persona 3 and FF7R. Enjoyable.

I'm over atlus between the looks and such just seeming like rehashing the same handful of things over and over .then how many times they tend to rerelease the same games on the same platform at full price over giving those that bought it's first release an upgrade path.. Square enix has become VERY hit or miss for me over the years. Wasn't a fan of final fantasy 7 initially nor has it grown on me over the years with how much they've milked it with off shoots rereleasing the "remake" trilogy being conflicting of what it is wanting to be.

I just bought dragon age veil-guard in the winter sale played for 2.9 hour exactly thank god the refund worked the writing and character were atrocious and unbearable everyone looked liked clowns which is a shame as the game looks visually stunning and combat somewhat ok.

Sadly rebirth was my biggest disappointment of 2024. I was so hyped when it came out but the whole open world aspect burned me out so fast. Repetitive,to long and boring side content. I was so zoned out at the ending that it didn't even hit any emotional response

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth was my biggest disappointment of 2024. It was filled with filler even throughout the main quest of the game. I really tried to enjoy it, but I just could not.
