I like the smaller pouches more than the pack itself. I can definitely think of several uses for that waterproof pouch already.

Such a cool pack. Never seen a bag that lets you customize it and add on...Leave it to Carhartt to keep making things better! Great choice for a review - thanks Carl. (I just bought the large pack, weatherproof case and the waist pack!)

I have to agree with you... The pack by itself look to be $119 in the picture and then at the end you said you got the whole works for $200... That is reasonably priced Oh, No Doubt!!!! This is something I will check out because it definitely has its uses oh... The man pack I mentioned before watching the video is more of a man bag or man purse LOL. Just for daily errands Etc

I have the larger Carhartt backpack. With the separate laptop pocket. Not shown here. It’s the best pack I have ever had. Lots of pockets and I use it on the work site and I have travelled with it for a year flying almost twice a week.

Thanks for this through review! I’m a field botanist and it’s hard to find a durable backpack that can hold all my gear and handle bushwhacking through dense chaparral in the rain. I’m going to give this a try and hopefully it holds up! :)

Have you done a review on the man pack??? It's rather unique... It has a place for concealed carry and or body armor plate 1 wearing as a backpack... Of course that is just one of its many uses... I purchased a desert sand colored one, thanking the interior would have the same desert sand nylon lining... That is really my only complaint is all their colors contain a black nylon lining... Which makes it difficult locating your stuff when most stuff is tactical black now IE: flashlights... It's a minor complaint but I've noticed you can locate your items a lot easier when the interior is of a lighter color

Carhart lost me when they quit making their products in the USA. You can find similar products online that are made by American companies using American workers. None of this “ made for the American worker by the Chinese, Vietnamese, whatever worker”. Real shame too, I have a couple flannel shirts by them that are USA made that are 25 years old.

I bought this bag after watching this review and was extremely disappointed in its small size. This is maybe 50-60% the overall capacity of an Ogio for example. The waist strap is extremely bulky and unable to be removed which is a huge deterrent also. The add on bags are hoaky at best and not something I’d ever use. I returned to Amazon the day I received it. The quality is okish but the size makes it nothing more than a small high school backpack to me. No external pockets for cables or cords, limited main compartment size. I’d recommend this to school aged guys but the huge waste belt bump they aren’t going to use would be a turn off for that use as well.

@@nickmagma7745 Yes, it has a nylon shank in the midsole. And the midsole uses dual-density foam for enhanced foot support, called the Endurance Performance System by Bates. I have worn it for street duty on a 10-hour shift and my feet felt like they were walking on clouds the whole time.

I beg to differ. A lot of Tt bags are made out of 1000d cordura for their laser cut bags. And altho the outside of some of theirs are 500-700D cordura their insides are covered by a 1000D cordura layer to prevent rips. Whilst Savotta only use 1 layer throughout their packs if im correct. So it comes down to taste but to assume tt looks B grade compared to that is just insane...
