Great review Tom. I have had a grill floss for years. It works fantastic. Besides getting under neath. I also use it if I use a wire brush to make sure there are no wire left on grates

Interesting tool, I just use a piece of scrap wood that has conformed to the grate over time, started using that after hearing a few stories one of them from a local woman who was using a wire brush and one of the bristles came off, got stuck on the meat and ended up ingesting it and it got lodged in her digestive tract, experienced severe pain , didn’t know what was going on till they took x-rays

We hear a lot of stories about people swallowing wire bristles every summer, it is quite scary! The craziest thing is all these stories end with some sort of surgery to get the wire out! Pretty cool that you made a scrap wood work for you :)

Looks like a good solution, flipping over the grate with a puffy knife works good as well.

Yep, flipping the grates to get to the bottom is the gold standard, but for us lazier folks who avoid lifting the greasy grates, GrillFloss works great to get to the underside and in between the grates where the wire brush can't reach.

@@grillfloss I agree, you developed a good solution and product. Best of luck with your marketing campaign. Eric Petersen - marketing director

Now that looks like a really useful tool Tom. I wish you would have demonstrated it on a dirty grill….if you have one…haha. I like that it gets under the grate. Thanks Tom!

It may sound odd to most, but I use a paint scraper, the metal ones with the curved, pointed hook on them. That side of the blade reaches the underside of each rod in the grate. Obviously, this product works for the "rod" type grates, not the cast-iron types that we know TH loves.

Yep, the curved end of a paint scraper blade will work, as long as there is enough space in between your grill rods. Way to be resourceful :)

Jim, you'll be surprised how many grillers use a putty knife like you too, they use the curved cut out end to get around the grates
