I absolutely love using scraps for cards! I feel as if it’s the old adage, “Making a silk purse out of a sow’s ear!” Lovely cards, as usual, Natasha! TFS!

Oh wow Natasha! You are so creative! 😊 Love the way you not only use the grouting technique, but also use scraps to make the flower, and giving it dimension too. I have so many scraps and you’ve really given me food for thought. Thanks so much! 😊❤

Beautiful card. Love the two pop-up layers of the petals. We live in a rural area at the end of a gravel road. I planted a few Coneflowers years ago on our property, thinking that I could spread the seeds along the roadside. This is the first year we've had good results with about a dozen plants sprouting along the way, wishing everyone a happy day as they pass!! Go, Coneflowers!!

I absolutely love this technique, Natasha. It is innovative, beautiful and unique. I have not seen anything like it. The grouting completely changed the look and upgraded the background from pretty to outstanding. Thank you for sharing something new that I can accomplish, too. 💖🇨🇦💖

What a terrific scrap using technique! I always tend to default to strips. When you took out the glitter I thought, oh no, not glitter ( I hate the mess it always makes for me)… then you used the embossing powder and I was sold!! Love that look! Definitely going to try this! Thank you for another wonderfully inspiring video!!🧑🏼🎨😄

I have made this type of background and have felt that they were very overwhelming and super busy. It never occurred to me to cut them down and use them as accent strips 🤯 Thanks ♥️

Fantastic! I still have lots of scrap, so this will be useful, but the effects are gorgeous! I really like the strip, rather than always filling the background. "Grouting with gold"..... now there's a great title..... 🤩

I made a card using this technique about a year ago. I had a ton of leftover pieces of holographic paper and couldn't bear to part with it. So I made a card and several tags. They came out great! And yes, the most important thing is to not over think it. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful card, Natasha!! I've done backgrounds like this too and used gilding flakes. The finish with the flower is so nice. 👍 I save empty spice jars with shaker tops and keep glitter in them. Great when glitter has to go on in a light sprinkling. Don't use it much myself and I know it's not your favourite stuff either 😅 Thanks for sharing this.
