Good comparison, it's nice to see them all laid out on the table like that. It's the DMM size S (the middle one) for me, all day. Not too big or heavy, but really heavy duty. I'm pretty sure that the size L one is 60 kN WLL though, and that the DMM blocks have the same 5:1 safety factor as most of the competition. Cheers!

If I could only choose one of those, the Spin L1D is the one. It's a game changer, for sure.

I thought the rock exotica downrigger basically was the same thing as Petzl L1D

The DownRigger has more friction in one direction, but it's not a ratchet pulley. It would be neat to see a comparison between the two with a few different scenarios and weights.
