Nice purchase I have that SSD too I never find the heatsink option worth it because usually its so much more expensive than just getting the SSD without it and anyway a lot of motherboards come with heatsinks on it anyway also you can buy a heatsink for like less than £10

@@rmjaln I use a Sabrent EC-SNVE enclosure for the 1 TB drive and a Acasis TBU401E for the 2 TB drive. Hope this was helpful...

The reason the Samsung 970 EVO Plus is still popular is because they updated the internal hardware from the Phoenix controller to the Ellipsis controller and memory chips that are found on the 980 Pro, so you are basically getting an upgraded NVME on but 3.0 speeds.

Any SSD will be plenty for gaming. Some even use spinning drives believe it or not. But a SATA or nvme SSD is best for faster load times.

My first ever NVMe drive is an ADATA 850 LITE 1 terabyte SSD. It was $69. It went into a Thunderbolt 4 enclosure which cost $79. Seems to work OK. I am using it as a boot drive for my Mac mini.

Just over a year ago I bought WD Black 1 TB SN 770 with a sabrent enclosure and use it as boot drive too. Have had to erase it once since then as there were corruption issues. But my Mac 2018 mini overheats too quickly. I think the drive is good just not the best year to buy a Mac mini.

@craigneidel my problem is i am using a 2018 razer blade 15 advance And my usb ports are getting like 400mb/s read and write and on the thunderbolt 3 I'm getting a little over 1000 on read and write but when i am playing my game connected to thunderbolt 3 it throws me out of the game. I only have the game on that ssd.

It would come with any enclosure that you use and it would depend on if 10 Gbps or Thunderbolt (40 Gbps). But cables would come with any enclosure.

Nice, I'm actually going to do a review or showcase of the 07000 soon so keep an eye open for that. So far that is very fast. But, I just won't know how long they will last yet and won't in the video either.

I am yet to buy the enclosure as the SSD . I see SSD ‘s with a heatsink option. Heatsink is the pad to stick on right ? Is it not recommended to have that pad included ? Or will the enclosure always ! come with its own pad anyway ?

They normally come with their own pads. Always take of the plastic on both sides first before placing on the drive. You can buy thicker or better heat sink tape also on Amazon.

One correction- Samsung 990 evo does not has less TBW than 990 pro Only difference is in speed and IOPS between the 990 pro and evo Both have 1200 TBW for 2 tb versions

When I guy a 2280 nvme ssd the first thing I look for not is what you thought me TBW then speed and my needs, as of now thing below 50000 is good enough for Me. plus I like SP ssd D90U and things Not Made China.
