It's actually cheaper than that outside of Seoul. Here in Daegu, you can pick up a bottle of Jinro from Emart for 1200 KRW.

actually lots of people are. the severity just depends on the person. some people are only allergic to certain types of alcohol or certain ingredients in the alcohol.

Spirits are alcohol with 40% or higher... Soju ranges from 16~21%... Also, the regular Jinro ones are super dirt low quality. There are muchhh better (but also more expensive) ones. Search for them~

I’ve overcome a lot of weird Korean flavors like bean paste and rice cakes, but the absolute pain that comes from a soju hangover makes it a product that I don’t think I’ll ever endorse or enjoy. Also a fair word of warning to people living in Korea, a foreigner drinking soju seemingly by their own choice is probably someone to avoid, or get help for.
