6:24 I have to notice that free aim setting is good if you are a new player to level up faster, but at the same time if you have free aim setting on, when you play showdown series, you will be put into sessions only with other players who have free aim. And as there are not too many players on PC, with free aim these modes will be empty. So to find more players in showdown modes, you might need to change back to auto aim. It doesn't affect free roam though. In free roam all players play in the same sessions.

The fishing setting is great for accessibility for people that can't use the analogue sticks. It made it possible for me to catch all the legendary fish. Hopefully Rockstar also adds more accessibility options in their future games.

I respect all these setting changes for performance reasons. Without doubt in a competitive situation all of these changes are 100% beneficial. On the other hand to make the experience more dynamic i prefer original settings. Makes the game feel more engaging and each activity different requirring different buttons to complete different tasks.

Hold-to-reel while fishing is suboptimal: you can’t control the speed of reeling.- I win most fishing challenges (as would anyone else who knows how fishing is implemented). One part of it is ultra _slow_ reeling while the lure is out. As slow as possible. Hard to do with hold-to-reel.

Agree! With stick I can control speed of reeling like in real fishing. Win most fishing challenges. Speed is important especially with large fish. 🦈

I've gotten to used to the "normal" lock-on window, the "wide" setting would just frustrate when it may just lock-on to some bystander pedestrians or animals closer to me than the enemy I'm actually facing at. And besides, if it didn't lock-on to the enemy I want, I can just simply re-aim quickly to acquire him.

BTW, when using Auto aim on controller, when you lock on to someone or something, the aim sensitivity is the same no matter what value you set it to. Only when you are free aiming will the speed change.

@@wwrrccc you think I’d comment if I hadn’t tried it? I’ve got 3300 hours into this game across 3 accounts, hundreds of those hours training, fighting and adjusting settings. There is absolutely a difference in how much joystick effort it takes to flick to a head paint depending on your aim settings, and it’s different from one weapon to the next.

@@MaRina_why depends on which weapon you’re using the most, and how aggressive your thumb movements are. I use aim sensitivity about 5-6, any less and I start getting double paints, any more and I get too many hat shots.

IDK about online but in story mode you can't use the cheat setting for fishing in story mode unless you're using a lure.

I use RX588 and my game runs better on Vulcan so it depends on your gpu

It depends, for me, DX12 is more stuttery than Vulkan, but at the same time, Vulkan is more CPU friendly but it has a blurrier image quality. I still prefer DX12 because I can watch videos in PiP mode while playing in borderless window mode.

Does anybody have a solution why my NVidia overlay isnt working? I am playing RDR2 via Rockstar Launcher - I never had any problems playing this game via Steam. I tried fullscreen but since I tab out a lot, it always automatically changes to windowed. I reinstalled GeForce Exp. I also tried repairing the Win Visual C++. I have a brandnew pc (NVidia RTX 4080 / MSI Tomahawk Mainboard) So I dont understand why it just doesnt work for RDR lol. Oh also I cant make screenshots via prntscr - it either captures the main menu (which I dont even have open) or a scene from 2 minutes ago (I also tried alt+printscr)
